Sydney Kings vs Perth Wildcats Prediction & Betting Tips - Wildcats to Keep Rolling

Perth Wildcats are backed to cover the +3.5 handicap against Sydney Kings on Saturday, with Elijah Pepper to make 3+ three-pointers and Dylan Windler to score 15+ points.

Perth have recovered brilliantly from their opening-round defeat, winning four straight games to arrive in Sydney with plenty of momentum. The Kings, meanwhile, have lost two consecutive matches after starting the season with three victories.

Sydney's latest defeat was a dramatic 102–101 loss to New Zealand on Wednesday, following their 84–78 home loss to Adelaide. That's a worrying turnaround for a team that looked almost unstoppable during the opening rounds.

Perth's biggest weapons have been Elijah Pepper and Dylan Windler. Pepper has scored exactly 25 points in four consecutive games and made at least three triples in four of five appearances, while Windler exploded for 32 points and seven three-pointers against New Zealand last weekend.

The Wildcats are playing their first away game of the season, which adds some uncertainty, but their recent form makes Perth +3.5 an attractive selection against a Sydney side suddenly looking vulnerable.

Sydney Kings Form

Sydney started the season with three impressive victories, beating Cairns 111–90, Illawarra 121–100 and Brisbane 93–78. Their offence looked particularly dangerous early, with Kendric Davis leading the scoring and the Kings moving the ball effectively.

However, their unbeaten start ended with an 84–78 home defeat to Adelaide. Sydney struggled to find their usual offensive rhythm, scoring just 12 points in the third quarter and failing to reach 80 for the first time this season.

Wednesday's 102–101 defeat to New Zealand continued the slide. Sydney scored 101 points but couldn't get the defensive stops they needed, leaving them with a 3–2 record heading into the weekend.

Perth Wildcats Form

Perth opened their campaign with a disappointing 100–79 home defeat to South East Melbourne Phoenix but have responded with four straight wins. They've beaten Adelaide 98–97, New Zealand 97–93, Phoenix 92–88 and New Zealand again 100–84.

The Wildcats have steadily improved offensively, with Pepper emerging as their most consistent scorer. He's recorded 19, 25, 25, 25 and 25 points, averaging 23.8 per game, while connecting on 17 three-pointers across his five appearances.

Windler has also become a major contributor. After scoring just two points in the opener, he's produced 16, 26, 14 and 32 points, including seven triples in the latest victory over New Zealand. Perth have found a productive combination on the perimeter, giving them several ways to generate points.

Verdict

Perth's four-game winning streak and Sydney's recent struggles make the Wildcats +3.5 our preferred handicap selection. Pepper's consistent outside shooting and Windler's improved scoring provide two appealing player props.
