A finals spot is on the line when the Western Bulldogs take on Fremantle in what shapes as one of the major highlights of the final round of the 2025 home and away season.

The Bulldogs have been coming hard in recent weeks with some high scoring football and were too good for bottom placed West Coast in Round 23, accounting for the Eagles by 94 points.

Fremantle’s lost more than just the game against Brisbane last weekend when upset by a 57-point margin- they lost their grip on a top eight spot and will be revisiting the nightmare finish to their 2024 campaign when sliding out of the eight at the death.

The Bulldogs enter in as firm favourites for this and enjoy the home ground advantage. But the Dockers are right in this and have an excellent record over sides in the top half of the ladder this season in comparison to the Bulldogs, while they do have their own forward threats that can bob up against a Dogs defence that has been shaky in the big games this season.

Take them with the 21.5 point start with Caleb Serong to step up in the midfield. Sam Darcy looms large for the Bulldogs up forward and might be the difference in what shapes as a tight and excruciating one for fans of either side.
