Coco Gauff vs Emma Raducanu Tips, Prediction & Live Stream - Raducanu to push Gauff in Rome R16

Twice a semi-finalist in Rome, Gauff will be hoping for another deep run and shot at the title over the course of the next week - however, there's still some question marks surrounding her form. Gauff appeared to have turned a corner with a strong run to the Madrid final last week - the first time she had won more than two matches in a row since the Australian Open.

But Gauff has struggled in both matches in Rome this tournament, dropping a set against teenager Victoria Mboko and then performing below her best against Magda Linette. Raducanu meanwhile has started to play some good tennis after finally overcoming a series of niggling injuries, coming into this contest having won eight of her last 10 matches since Miami - and both of her defeats were close three-setters. This is a good opportunity for Raducanu to test herself against a top player and I'm backing the Brit to make this a competitive clash.

Gauff leads 1-0, winning their only previous meeting 6-3 7-6 at the 2023 Australian Open.

Gauff comes into this encounter with a 21-7 record on the season, but she has yet to win a WTA title and remains below her best - which is a surprise given how strongly she finished the 2024 campaign.

The American went out of the Australian Open in the quarter-finals to Paula Badosa and failed to win more than two matches in a row until Madrid last week.

It was a brilliant week in the Spanish capital for Gauff - she crushed the likes of Belinda Bencic, Mirra Andreeva and Iga Swiatek in straight sets to reach the final, where she was edged out by Aryna Sabalenka.

Whether Gauff can continue that promising form remains to be seen in Rome - as mentioned, she's been far from convincing in her two victories over 18-year-old Victoria Mboko and Magda Linette.

Raducanu has managed to turn her 2025 record into a positive percentage this week in Rome, coming into this clash having won 11 of her 19 matches for the season.

After making the third round of the Australian Open, Raducanu went on to lost five of her next six matches, with that sort of form suggesting she could be in for another rough year.

However, the former US Open champion has turned a corner after a great run to the quarter-finals of Miami, where she defeated Emma Navarro and Amanda Anisimova en route.

Raducanu went down in a tight three-setter to Marta Kostyuk in Madrid, but has bounced back with some strong results in Rome, coming from a set down to beat Maya Joint and Veronika Kudermetova in three sets either side of a straight sets victory over Jil Teichmann.
