Taylor Fritz vs Quentin Halys Tips, Prediction & Live Stream - Fritz to kick off Geneva campaign with a win
Taylor Fritz, the top seed at the Geneva Open and currently ranked World No. 4, is set to face Quentin Halys in the second round. Fritz aims to gain some momentum on European clay before the French Open, an area where he has recently struggled. Despite Halys' recent inconsistencies, he secured a win in his first match in Geneva. This clash marks their first meeting, and Fritz, with a goal to regain form, seems poised to cover a -3.5 games line for a victory. Watch the match live on Unibet.

With just one completed match win on European clay under his belt, it's absolutely no surprise that Fritz has decided to play in Geneva in the week before Roland Garros. Usually the top players don't like playing one week before a slam, but Fritz is in desperate need of clay wins and confidence heading into the second Grand Slam of the season.
Making the final is probably counter-intuitive, but we can expect Fritz to go pretty much all out in the second round - otherwise, what's the point of playing here. Halys is capable of some good tennis, but the Frenchman is very inconsistent and he hasn't won back-to-back matches since his run to the Dubai semi-finals in February. I'm backing Fritz to get it together and cover a -3.5 games line in victory.
Head To Head
This will be the first career meeting between the pair.
Taylor Fritz Form
Fritz comes into this contest with a 16-8 record on the season. Solid but unspectacular defines the year for Fritz and he will be hoping to make an impact over the next couple of months before he has to defend a truckload of points in the North American summer.
Still ranked No. 4 in the world, Fritz is without a title so far in 2025, with his best result a run to the Miami semi-finals, where he went down to Jakub Mensik.
The American has struggled on his transition to clay, winning just one completed match, falling to eventual champion Casper Ruud in Madrid and suffering a straight sets defeat to Marcos Giron in his Rome opener.
Fritz has competed in Geneva in the last two years, making the semi-finals in 2023 but going out in his opening match to Alex Michelson last year.
Quentin Halys Form
Halys heads into this encounter with a 7-9 record at tour-level for the season - but five of those wins came at just two tournaments.
Indeed, Halys was at his best in the Middle East in February, where he made the quarter-finals of Doha and the semi-finals of Dubai, losing to Felix Auger-Aliassime on both occasions.
The Frenchman has failed to win back-to-back matches since, coming into Geneva having lost five of his last six matches.
However, Halys has secured one match win already in Geneva, overcoming Jaume Munar in three sets in the opening round in his tournament debut.
