Only Norrie, Hubert Hurkacz and Sebastian Ofner stand in the way of Djokovic and 100 tour-level titles - can the Serbian legend get over the line and secure another incredible milestone in Geneva over the next couple of days?
He certainly has an excellent chance. Djokovic has looked in solid form this week, defeating Marton Fucsovics and Matteo Arnaldi in straight sets to reach the semi-finals. Celebrating his 38th birthday this week, Djokovic has received a favourable draw for the last four - he's defeated Norrie in all four previous meetings between the pair. Norrie is a former top 10 player and certainly someone to be respected, but I just don't see him having the weapons to hit through Djokovic on clay. Backing the 24-time major champion to get the job done in straight sets for the third time this week.
Head To Head
As mentioned, Djokovic leads 4-0, with all three ATP level matches resulting in straight set victories - including the most-recent 6-4 6-4 triumph at the 2023 Davis Cup finals.
Novak Djokovic Form
Djokovic has improved his season record to 14-7 this week and all of a sudden has a great chance to secure that long-awaited 100th tour-level title.
It was a tough start to the season for Djokovic as he was forced to retire in the Australian Open semi-finals with a hamstring injury before losing early in Doha and Indian Wells.
A strong run to the Miami Masters final suggested that Djokovic was back, but he struggled on the initial transition to clay, losing his opening matches in Monte Carlo and Madrid to Alejandro Tabilo and Matteo Arnaldi respectively.
Withdrawing from Rome and splitting with coach Andy Murray, Djokovic's French Open preparations were all of a sudden in tatters.
However, Djokovic has rebuilt some confidence and generated a bit of momentum this week in Geneva, with the 38-year-old easing past Marton Fucsovics before avenging his Madrid loss to Arnaldi, recovering from 1-4 down in the second set to prevail 6-4 6-4.
Cameron Norrie Form
Norrie has only won one less match than Djokovic heading into their semi-final showdown, registering a 13-11 record so far on the season.
After peaking at No. 8 in the world in 2022 following his Indian Wells Masters triumph, Norrie has since fallen to a current ranking of No. 90, so this run in Geneva is much-needed.
The Brit made the third round of Madrid and went down to Daniil Medvedev in the second round of Rome before successfully qualifying for the Geneva main draw.
Norrie beat Dominic Stricker in the opening round before benefitting from defending champion Tomas Machac retiring. The 29-year-old defeated Alexei Popyrin 7-6 6-4 to earn a crack at Djokovic in the semis.
