The Swiss became the oldest man since Ken Rosewall (45) in 1980 to win a tour-level match indoors outside of Davis Cup, with Wawrinka winning 24/29 points behind his first serve and saving 4/5 break points.
“I always enjoy. I’m still passionate about the game,” Wawrinka said. "For me, [it] was important to keep pushing myself and trying to win as much as possible.”
