Daniil Medvedev vs Pierre-Hugues Herbert Tips, Prediction & Live Stream - Medvedev to battle his way into Marseille quarter-finals

Medvedev has been all over the place lately and is in danger of crashing out the top 10 in the coming months if he doesn't find his game soon. The former World No. 1 has dished up some terrible performances so far this year and there's no reason to think things will suddenly change in Marseille, where's he's taken a wildcard. At the same time, Herbert has been a shadow of the singles player he once was and really hasn't done anything of note for a long time. The Russian lost in the second round of the Australian Open to teenager Learner Tien (after taking five sets to beat a Thai wildcard ranked outside the top 400 in R1) and then needed three sets to beat an almost 40-year-old Stan Wawrinka in Rotterdam before losing to qualifier Mattia Bellucci.

Down to No. 8 in the world, Medvedev hasn't won a title since prevailing in Rome midway through 2023.

Herbert is currently down at No. 192 in the rankings (career-high of No. 36 in 2019) and hasn't been inside the top 100 since the 2021 season.

The 33-year-old had a terrible start to the season down under, losing to a pair of Australians ranked outside the top 500 at the Canberra Challenger and AO qualifying.

However, Herbert has found some form again in his favourite indoor conditions, making the final of the Quimper Challenger before qualifying and winning a round in Marseille this week, earning three victories over fellow Frenchman.
