It's been a career-best season for Marozsan in terms of match wins - he's gone 26-24 at tour-level and is playing arguably his most consistent tennis of the year right now.

Heading into the Asian swing on a three-match losing streak, Marozsan now comes into this Almaty quarter-final having won five of his last seven matches.

It took Jannik Sinner to beat him in the Beijing quarter-finals, while Marozsan pushed Taylor Fritz to the brink in the second round of Shanghai before falling in three.

Marozsan has continued his good form into Almaty, where he's advanced to the last eight with straight sets victories over Luca Nardi and Brandon Nakashima.
