Alex de Minaur vs David Goffin Tips, Prediction & Live Stream - De Minaur to ease past Goffin in Rotterdam opener

De Minaur is backed to cover a -5.5 games line in victory to launch his week in the Dutch city. The Aussie holds a dominant 5-0 H2H record over Goffin, winning four of those matches in straight sets, covering a -5.5 handicap on each occasion. De Minaur has won seven of his eight matches to begin 2025 and has firmly established himself as a top 10 player, while Goffin is on a six-match losing streak and well into the twilight of his career. As mentioned, de Minaur leads 5-0 - and that includes two victories in Rotterdam in 2024 and 2022 by respective 6-3 6-1 and 6-0 6-3 scores.

It's been a solid start to the season for de Minaur as the Aussie looks to continue with his gradual progress up the rankings, which sees him currently at No. 8 in the world.

De Minaur has registered a 7-1 record to launch 2025, winning both of his matches at the United Cup over Tomas Martin Etcheverry and Billy Harris, while he proceeded to reach his first Australian Open quarter-final in Melbourne.

That was de Minaur's fourth consecutive major quarter-final, with the 25-year-old defeating Botic Van De Zandschulp, Tristan Boyer, Francisco Cerundolo and Alex Michelsen before running into a red-hot Jannik Sinner.

De Minaur was back in action this past weekend in Davis Cup, helping Australia cruise past Sweden with a straight sets triumph over Mikael Ymer.

Having made the final of Rotterdam last year (once again losing to Sinner), de Minaur will be confident of another deep run this week.

After doing a great job of rebuilding his ranking in 2024 to get himself back around the top 50, Goffin has struggled to start the season and risks seeing all of his good work come undone.

Goffin is yet to get off the mark in 2025, registering a 0-4 record and winning just one set, falling in the opening rounds of Brisbane, Adelaide, the Australian Open and Montpellier.

The 34-year-old was upstaged in straight sets by Benjamin Bonzi at the Australian Open and bombed out in the opening round of Montpellier last week to Aleksandar Kovacevic.

Goffin reached the final of Rotterdam in 2017 and the semis the following season, but he'll be hard-pressed to repeat those runs here.
