Gian Piero Gasperini’s side will want to showcase some improvement in the Champions League though - they failed to beat Fenerbahce on Matchday 1 before somehow blowing their comfortable lead at home to Real Madrid, ultimately losing 4-3 after some terrible set piece defending.

Roma did get off the mark with a thumping 4-0 win over whipping boys Slovan Bratislava on Matchday 3, while they come into this clash following 4-2 and 5-2 victories in the league over Cagliari and Udinese.
