Dortmund have a great Champions League home record and Villarreal are in poor form to start the season - the German heavyweights are backed to win, along with Over 3.5 total goals, with star striker Serhou Guirassy continuing his red-hot form in this competition.
It's been a disappointing start to the La Liga season for Villarreal and now they must face one of the more daunting away days in Europe as they travel to Dortmund, who have won 17 of their last 23 Champions League home games, losing just twice.
Dortmund crushed Villarreal 4-0 in the league phase last term and their last two UCL campaigns have been a very entertaining watch, with Niko Kovac's side seeing a total of 70 goals at an average of 4.38 per game.
Villarreal meanwhile were dismal in last season's competition, picking up just one point and losing seven of their eight outings. With just two points from their opening four La Liga games this season, the Yellow Submarine will be up against it here.

Very tough start to life as Villarreal manager for Inigo Perez, with his side going winless across their opening four La Liga games.
A pair of 2-2 draws with Racing Santander and Atletico Madrid were followed by 1-0 and 3-2 defeats to Alaves and newly-promoted Deportiva La Coruna.
The home loss to Deportivo was especially frustrating for Perez's side - Villarreal twice took the lead, had 17 shots to eight and led the xG 1.20 to 0.83, but were beaten as veteran striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored an 88th-minute winner.
Given Villarreal earned just one point from eight games in the Champions League last season, it's a big ask for Perez to turn things around here.
