With the 2025 Australian Federal Election just days away, the Labor Party are strong favourites with the bookies to secure another term in office.

Over the past month, the Australian Federal Election betting odds have shifted notably, reflecting changing sentiment and campaign developments.

Peter Dutton and the Coalition were betting favourites at the start of 2025 to overthrow Labor and current Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. However, Dutton has lost immense support around the country over the last couple of months and Labor are now almost unbackable favourites.

As of Friday May 2, the Coalition have drifted out to as much as $10 at some bookmakers, with Labor firming to as short as $1.06.

You can see the latest odds for who will win the election in the table below.

Punters have the opportunity to bet on the type of government formed - namely a minority or majority.

With Labor big favourites to be re-elected, the most likely outcomes are Labor Minority or Majority governments, with the Coalition long odds for both options but especially Majority.

Labor Minority was the most backed option with the bookies up until this week, where the odds shifted slightly to Majority. As of Friday May 2, a Labor Majority government is the most likely scenario with the bookies.
