Who won the last Queensland Election?
The 2020 Queensland Election was held on October 31, with this electing all 93 members to the Legislative Assembly of Queensland.
The Labour Party, led by Annastacia Palaszczuk, secured a third-straight term in office by securing 52 seats, with 47 needed for a majority. Deb Frecklington's Liberal Party won a total of 34 seats and they formed the opposition.
Following conceding the election at 11pm on the day, Frecklington congratulated Labour and intonated that she would stay on as party leader. However, she ultimately resigned on November 2nd, with David Crisafulli winning the leadership race on November 12.
Next Queensland Election
The next Queensland Election is due to take place on October 26, 2024. Steve Miles will be hoping to lead his Labour Party to a fourth-consecutive term in office, with Crisafulli and the Liberal National Party hoping to end this run.
2024 Queensland Election betting odds
