Australian Federal Election Betting Odds

The last Australian Federal Election was held on May 21, 2022. This was used to elect the 47th Parliament of Australia. 

Going into the election, the Liberal/National Coalition government were looking to secure a fourth-straight term in office. However, they were defeated by the Labor Party, which was led by Anthony Albanese. All 151 seats in the House of Representatives and a total of 40 out of the 76 seats were up for re-election. 

Labor achieved a majority government with a total of 77 seats in the House of Representatives, with Labor forming a government for the first time since 2007. 

The next Australian Federal Election will be held in or before May 2025, and this will seek to elect the 48th Parliament of Australia. It is expected that current Premier Anthony Albanese will look to lead his Labor party to another term in office, with Peter Dutton expected to lead the Liberal/National Coalition. 

At the time of writing, the Coalition lead the odds with $1.72 for a change of power. Labor come in at $2.10 with any other part at a relatively short price of $51.

Western Australia Election Betting Odds

The next election in Western Australia will be held on March 8, 2025, with Roger Cook's Labor party looking for a similarly impressive triumph in the election to the one they had in 2021.

All 59 seats in the Legislative Assembly and all 37 seats in the Legislative Council will be up for election in 2025 with Labor aiming for a third consecutive term. 

Labor are currently $1.083 as unbackable favourites to win the election with the Coalition coming in at $7.50 and any other party $51.

Queensland Election Betting Odds

The last Queensland state election was held on October 31, 2020. This was to elect all 93 members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland. 

The results of the election saw Labor return for a third-straight term in office, led by Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk. 47 seats were needed to for a majority government, with Labor securing 52 seats in total, while the Liberal National Party secred 34 seats. 

Leader of the Liveral National Party Deb Frecklington congratulated Labor on the night of the election and ultimately resigned following the loss. David Crisafulli won the Liberal National Party leadership race on November 12, 2020. 

The next state election in Queensland will take place on October 26, 2024, with Labor looking to maintain their place as the leading party.

Northern Territory Election Betting Odds

The 2020 Northern Territory election took place on August 22, 2020. 25 members of the Legislative Assembly were up for election. 

The Labor party, led by Michael Gunner, won a second-straight term in office. The next election will be held on August 24, 2024. This will see Labor, currently led by Eva Lawler, looking to secure a third-straight term in office. 

Labor are currently the favourites to win the election at $1.75, but they are barely ahead of the Country Liberal Party ($2.05), with Any Other Party priced as the big underdog ($41.00).

New South Wales Election Betting Odds

The 2023 election in New South Wales took place on March 25, 2023. It saw Chris Minns and his Labor party win a total of 45 seats. The Liberal/National Coalition won 36 seats while The Greens took three seats. 

The next election will take place between January 30 2027 to March 27 2027 to elect the 59th Parliament of New South Wales. 

Victoria Election Betting Odds

The last state election to take place in Victoria was on November 26, 2022. This was to elect the 60th Parliament of Victoria, with all 88 seats in the Legislative Assembly and all 40 seats in the Legislative Council up for re-election.  

Labor won a fourth-seuccessive term in power as they defeated the Liberal/National Coalition. Premier Daniel Andrews was able to lead Labor to 53 seats in total, eight more than the 45 needed for a majority. the Liberal/National Coalition won 27 seats. 

This performance from the latter saw Guy conceding defeat on the night of the election, with Guy resigning as the Liberal/National Coalition leader the next morning. 

South Australia Election Betting Odds

The last South Australia state election took place in 2022, with the election itself held on March 19. This saw the 55th Parliament of South Australia elected. All 47 House of Assembly seats and half of those from the Legislative Council were up for re-election in 2022. 

Premier of the time Steven Marshall saw his minority Liberal government beaten after a single term, with Peter Malinauskas and his Labor party running out as the winners by a landslide. This was the first time since 1982 that a sitting government in South Australia only say for a single term.
