Tigers vs Cowboys NRL Round 25 Cheat Sheet
Since the 2023 season where both teams put up 60+ points against each other in consecutive matches, the battle between the Tigers and Cowboys has been an absolute thriller for the fans, including a 60 point try scoring bonanza in Round 13 this season.
The last 3 matches between these two have all seen over 60+ points at Leichhardt Oval and the Tigers will ensure that they keep their perfect record intact at their spiritual home and edge out the Cowboys in another entertaining match between the pair.
The Tigers are building their culture at the club and at this time of year that is important when looking at the results of matches that have now bearing on the top eight. The Cowboys have been flat with no wind left, while the Tigers are finishing strong with 3 wins in their last 4 matches.

Head to Head
The Cowboys escaped disaster in their Round 13 clash against the Tigers, almost letting a 32-6 lead with 20 minutes to go slip away with the Tigers scoring 4 late tries to put the match on a knife’s edge with 5 mins left, with the Cows holding on to win 32-28
North Queensland have won the last 4 matches since getting pummeled 66-18 back in 2023 after they answered with a 74-0 victory in the same season.
The game total has reached 48 points or more in the last 7 matches with an average of 66.7 points being scored during that span.
Wests Tigers Form Analysis
With their 26-12 victory over the Manly Sea Eagles last week, Benji Marshals Tigers have won more games than they have since the 2019 season and have guaranteed their fans that they have now avoided their fourth consecutive Wooden Spoon.
After getting the wobbles in the middle of the season, the Tigers have responded with 4 victories in their last 6 matches and really starting to find the defensive form they had to begin the season.
The Tigers have now held Canterbury to 14 points and Manly to two converted tries. They held both teams to the least amount of run metres to their opponent all season, playing their last two matches at the right end of the field, while showing desperation on their own line.
Wests Tigers Team News
Benji Marshall hasn’t altered the winning concept, keeping his side unchanged this week.

North QLD Cowboys Form Analysis
The Cowboys attack showed how dangerous they can be, putting up 6 tries against the Knights in their 38-4 victory, however I am not too sure Newcastle is the right measuring stick.
The spark in the gun of the Cowboys’ attack has always been there, but it has been the inconsistency in their ability to defend that has been their downfall in 2025. The Knights have the worst attack in the comp so giving up just one try last week is no great feat.
The Cows are 3-8 away from home this season averaging 30 points against per game outside of Country Bank Stadium. With nothing but pride left to play for, they are vulnerable once again without their home fans.
North QLD Cowboys Team News
Todd Payton has also shown confidence in his side making no changes to the team that took care of Newcastle last week.
