Parramatta Eels vs Gold Coast Titans NRL Round 6 Tips - Titans steal one

The Gold Coast Titans are anticipated to secure their second win in the 2026 NRL season during Round 6 against the Parramatta Eels. The Eels, facing a slew of injuries including key players like Jonah Pezet and Bailey Simonsson, are struggling with their lineup's depth. Despite the Titans' own struggles in attack, they are expected to capitalize on the Eels' defensive weaknesses. With a low-scoring game predicted, the Titans' Phillip Sami is set to inch closer to the try-scoring record, making this a critical game for both teams.

Parramatta Eels vs Gold Coast Titans NRL Round 6 Tips

Parramatta Eels vs Gold Coast Titans, Round 6 2026 - Expert Prediction

The Gold Coast will get their second victory of the season, taking advantage of the reshuffle in the depleted Parramatta squad.

Jason Riles is doing it tough on the training ground at the moment in Parramatta with his starters dropping like flies at the moment and needing to patch holes. The Eels attack has been doing enough to keep them in matches and even got them a couple of wins this season, however, with Jonah Pezet, Bailey Simonsson and Sean Russell ruled out adding to misery of Isaiah Iongi and J’maine Hopgood the Eels depth is being tested.

The Titans need all the help they can get and they need to take advantage of the position of Parramatta at the moment. Josh Hannay needs his team firing and I have to back them in here to steal the win from the undermanned Eels.

I am not expecting anything flash from either side really. The Titans attack hasn’t been great but it should be able to break through on the Parramatta defence that has had it’s issues. The question will be if their own line will hold. The game total is at 52.5 and with the eels missing finishers and the Titans not flashy, I like the under.

Philip Sami will be going up against debutant Araz Nanva and will see a lot of ball inside the eels 20m so expect Sami to inch a little closer to the all-time try scoring record for the Titans in his final season for the club.

  • The Gold Coast have covered the line in 4 of the last 6 matches against Parramatta.
  • 7 of the last 9 matches between the Gold Coast and Parramatta have produced less than 52.5 points.
  • 4 of 5 Gold Coast matches this season have ended with a game total less than 52.5 points.
  • Philip Sami has 5 tries in his last 6 games against Parramatta

Head to Head

Parramatta did enough to get past the Gold Coast 36-20 in Round 16 last season, putting the game out of reach with two tries in the final 15 minutes of the match.

The head to head record stands at 2-2 in the last 4 matches since the 2023 season.

6 of the last 9 matches between the Gold Coast and Parramatta have gone over the game total.

Parramatta Eels Form Analysis

Parramatta are suffering physically carrying a serious list of injuries that seems to extend every week. Their 22-20 loss against Wests hurt them in more ways than one, losing Bailey Simonsson for the season and Jonah Pezet for an extended period.

Pezet’s combination in the halves has allowed Mitch Moses to be at his best and that will stutter now. The Eels couple of wins in 2026 has come off the back of them building pressure and their attack flourishing when it has had its chances. Without Isiah Iongi and Simonsson their class finishers are wearing thin.

The Eels defence has not been holding up at all and will now be under the test even more with new combinations in the backline. Territory and possession will be as important as ever for the Eels.

Gold Coast Titans Form Analysis

The Gold Coast are still having the same problems under Josh Hannay that they have had for the last few seasons, giving away too many points (27.6/G) and often under short periods of time where the game simply gets away from them.

With all the focus on their defence the Titans have seemed to forget how to attack as well, scoring over 16 points just once, in their win against the Dragons a couple of rounds ago. Line breaks are few and far between (3.2/G) and that is likely due to the simple fact that they are struggling to come out of their own end often ranked 16th in the NRL in run metres at 1550 per game.
