It's the Battle of the Beaches in Perth as Optus Stadium plays host to Cronulla and Manly in the first of three games this Super Saturday.
Sunny conditions and a dry track lends itself to plenty of points being scored by two of the most dangerous attacking teams in the competition. Manly are averaging almost 30 points per game in 2025, while the Sharks are scoring 22 points per game - with the Total Points line set at 48.5, I'm keen on the overs here.
In terms of a winner, I like the Sharkies. They were pipped at the death last week against Canberra, conceding a try in the final seconds, while there was certainly no shame in their loss the previous week to the unbeaten Bulldogs. Good chance for Cronulla to get back to winning ways against Manly, who they've conquered in four of the last five meetings, while as mentioned, Anthony Seibold's side usually find life hard on the road.
That's not to say Manly don't have points in them - Jason Saab has scored 12 tries in his last 13 games and remains a massive weapon with his speed and aerial threat out wide. The Sea Eagles winger is solid value as an Anytime Tryscorer in Perth.
- Over 48.5 points has landed in five of Manly's last six games
- Over 48.5 points has landed in five of the last seven meetings
- Sharks have won four of their last five meetings with Manly
- Sharks' last five wins over Manly have been by 6+ points
- Sharks' last five NRL wins have been by 6+ points
- Manly's only away game in 2025 resulted in a 36-16 loss to the Warriors
- Manly's right winger has scored a try in 10 of their last 11 games
- Jason Saab has scored 12 tries in his last 13 games
Head To Head
Sharks have won four of the last five encounters between the teams, scoring 34+ points in three of those victories. These teams played just once in 2024, with Cronulla running out 40-20 winners in Round 27.

After a bright start to the season, the Sharks have hit a mini-roadblock, coming into this clash following back-to-back defeats against the Bulldogs and Raiders.
Cronulla couldn't find their way through a rock-solid Doggies defence at home, while they failed to hold on in the nation's capital against the Raiders last week, leaking a last-second try to lost 24-20.
It wasn't a bad performance from the Sharks - they completed 38/44 sets and three of their players ran for over 200m (Fonua-Blake, Mulitalo & Hiroti). Nicho Hynes remains under pressure and the halfback needs to step up and take control if the Sharks are to be genuine premiership threats in 2025.

It's been a classic Manly start to the season - inconsistent, electric attack, dodgy defence and putting on a show at Brookie while struggling on the road.
The Sea Eagles have won three of their four games at 4 Pines Park to start the season, but they were humbled 48-24 by the Storm last week - and that scoreline somewhat flatters Manly too.
Worryingly for Manly, they were crushed by 20 points in their only away game this season against the Warriors in Round 2.
Clearly the Daly Cherry-Evans saga is affecting the playing group and it will be interesting to see how Manly handle all of that outside noise going forward.
