Midway Handicap Tips (Race 1)
7. Better Late may give us an early guide to the track pattern, with James McDonald aboard and the lightly raced four-year-old could dictate proceedings up front, particularly if Miss Hades comes out.
There is still scope for improvement with the Nathan Doyle-trained gelding, who was beaten by the handy Forest King first-up before bolting in at Beaumont Newcastle.
He then led in the September 12 Midway before being reeled in by Formal, who enjoyed a perfect run behind the speed, and the extra 100m looks a suitable progression.
2. Miss Spacegirl has to be respected back in Midway company off her last prep references, while her fresh stats read two wins and a second from three first-up runs, while Siena Grima's 2kg claim gives her useful relief.
14. Call Me Sassy found trouble when third in that September 12 Midway and has now placed in four of her past five, while 9. Vetwelve improved sharply second-up last campaign and maps to get a soft run.

TAB Highway Handicap Tips (Race 2)
The Nash Rawiller and Matthew Dunn combination is always dangerous in Highway company, and 5. Bluish Hue heads the market after three consecutive runner-up finishes to open the campaign.
His latest came over 1350m at Ipswich after another second in metropolitan Class 3 company at Doomben, and while the wide draw means he may need to concede some ground, the rise to 1500m looks timely fourth-up.
7. Sippin' Seamus can give a sight at a huge price after finding 1200m too sharp first-up at Scone before improving over 1400m at Tamworth, where he raced on speed and only appeared to peak late.
1. Condone has been good without much luck in recent Highway attempts despite another awkward draw, while Aaron Bullock sticking aboard is a positive.
2. Vltava was a big fresh winner at Muswellbrook when landing good support and looks another progressive type who should be strong at the end of 1500m.
Selections: 5-7-1-2.
Asahi Super Dry Colin Stephen Quality Tips (Race 3)
2. Bella Montagna looks particularly well placed under the conditions of this Group 3, carrying just 53kg and receiving 5.5kg from topweight So You Are.
Blinkers go on third-up after a competitive fourth in the Wyong Cup on September 4 and another strong performance when third in the Newcastle Cup on September 18.
Her previous third-up attempt over this trip resulted in a narrow second to stablemate Alalcance, which is a particularly strong form reference for a race of this depth.
1. So You Are is the obvious danger despite the weight after breaking through for Bjorn Baker earlier this month, while his winter form also reads well enough for this level.
4. Amplify may possess more natural talent than 5. Fernao, although there is some query whether he is better suited over slightly shorter, while Fernao continues to race honestly.
Selections: 2-1-4-5.
Toyota Forklifts Handicap Tips (Race 4)
3. Starzintheireyes was hard to miss when resuming at Randwick on September 5, where the O'Shea and Charlton-trained import was heavily supported and arguably could have won with a more favourable passage.
The winner enjoyed all the favours while Starzintheireyes had to circle the field without anything taking him into the race, yet he still attacked the line strongly and looks to have returned in excellent order.
There was plenty of promise through his first Australian campaign, while his later autumn and winter appearances came on rain-affected ground where he never looked completely comfortable.
The rise to 1900m on firmer ground looks a much better setup, and he may possess the strongest turn of foot in the field late.
Progressive stablemate 8. Mister Rizz could be the main danger after a dominant Hawkesbury Class 1 win first-up, while 10. Anthracite is racing well and 7. Starphistocated looks ready for this longer trip.

Irresistible Pools & Spas Handicap Tips (Race 5)
6. Decorum is very well bred as a full brother to Group 1 winner Switzerland and Golden Rose contender St Gotthard, but the Michael Freedman-trained gelding has also shown plenty of ability himself.
After finishing runner-up on debut, he won his next three starts before being thrown into the Randwick Guineas, where cardiac arrhythmia was detected post-race, and he was subsequently gelded ahead of this preparation.
The 1200m looked short of his best when he resumed at Randwick on September 5, yet his class was enough to get him home in BM78 company, and the rise to 1400m second-up looks ideal in a BM88 with a fairly long tail.
10. Karinska is a huge price but shapes as one of the better blowouts after finding 1100m and 1200m too sharp in two runs back, with her previous third-up attempt over this trip resulting in an unlucky Group 3 effort.
3. Cross Tasman remains ultra-consistent and comes here freshened after a second in a very fast-run Goulburn Cup, while 11. Ruination was plain second-up after a good return win but may appreciate 1400m now.

Grant Burge Heritage Stakes Tips (Race 6)
Exactly how wound up 3. Omolong is for the Heritage Stakes remains the main query, but there was plenty to like about the unbeaten Chris Waller-trained colt during his first preparation.
He won on debut at Warwick Farm on June 24 before making it two-from-two at Rosehill, and the feeling from both performances was that he remained a raw colt with plenty of improvement to come.
James McDonald takes the ride after partnering him in a quiet Randwick trial on September 11, and he looks capable of developing into one of Waller's better sprinting three-year-olds.
1. Blue Door has the race fitness and map advantage after two runner-up finishes this campaign, the latest behind Golden Rose favourite Guest House, where he broke the 1100m record at Rosehill. Bit of a D-Day here for the favourite.
7. Ciaron's Star was very consistent throughout her juvenile campaign and could box-seat from barrier one, while 5. Our Emperor showed plenty in winning on debut before a spell. Has laboured in his recent trials, but that's not uncommon from this yard.
Selections: 3-1-7-5.
Racingandsports.com.au Golden Pendant Tips (Race 7)
1. Lazzura has to give weight to her rivals under the set-weights-and-penalties conditions, but that is deserved for the Group 1 winner and she still looks very well placed.
She could not get the job done as favourite when resuming in the Sheraco Stakes on September 12, although 1200m is now on the short side for her and the performance was still a sound return.
We saw how sharply she could improve second-up last preparation when bouncing back from an upset defeat to win the Coolmore Classic at Rosehill, where she gave weight to most of her rivals, while her overall second-up record reads three wins and a third from five attempts.
James McDonald has also enjoyed an excellent association with the mare, riding her six times for three wins and two placings.
8. Modella produced a big return when winning the Listed Mona Lisa Stakes at Wyong, 3. Verona Rose is better placed back against her own sex after a competitive Theo Marks third, while 9. Butternut Princess could figure at a huge price after having little go right in her past two Melbourne starts.

Yulong Golden Rose Tips (Race 8)
Mick Price has trained some outstanding colts, so while there may have been a little salesmanship in declaring 1. Guest House the best he has prepared, the son of Home Affairs has already done plenty to establish himself as the class horse of this crop.
It looked as though the penny really dropped in the Golden Slipper before he was spelled, and he resumed in the San Domenico Stakes on August 29 with an excellent performance, breaking the Rosehill 1100m track record while conceding 3.5kg to his main rival.
The four-week gap into the Golden Rose mirrors the lead-up to his Slipper run, and while 1400m is the obvious query, Guest House remains unbeaten in Sydney, both wins have come at Rosehill and barrier five gives Zac Lloyd plenty of options.
3. Tron Bolt is the value runner after an eye-catching Run To The Rose return over a trip well short of his best, producing the fastest last 400m and 200m of the meeting.
His first campaign culminated in a Group 1 J.J. Atkins victory and, while his peak may come over further, the rise to 1400m gives him every chance to make his presence felt at a double-figure quote.
4. Warwoven deserves respect after winning the Run To The Rose on speed, while 5. St Gotthard remains another major threat after going unbeaten as a juvenile before finishing second in that same lead-up first-up.

HKJC World Pool Shannon Stakes Tips (Race 9)
2. Skyhook continues to rise in the weights and carries another 2kg following his Theo Marks victory, but he also continues to improve and still looks the horse in this field with the most upside.
There was strong market support for the son of Written Tycoon on September 12 and Kerrin McEvoy produced an excellent ride to overcome the wide draw, while barrier two gives him a much easier tactical assignment this time.
His three-year-old campaign had become a little frustrating before he turned the corner with a Hawkesbury Guineas win, then rounded out the winter with a dominant mile victory in the Gunsynd Classic.
1. Private Eye should give us a better idea of where he sits at this stage of his career, with the nine-year-old now third-up and Nash Rawiller back aboard after a long career racing successfully in stronger company.
3. Estadio Mestalla should appreciate the rise to 1500m despite a poor second-up record, while 8. Portland is the roughie and will be better over further, but showed enough during his first Australian preparation to warrant some respect fresh.

TAB Handicap Tips (Race 10)
11. Annie's Rose is a mare who needs luck given her racing pattern, but she also thrives when kept on the fresh side, making five weeks between runs and the slight drop in distance an appealing setup.
She landed good bets for us when winning first-up over this track-and-trip on August 1 before heading to 1200m at Randwick, where she rattled home through and beyond the line after being badly held up at an important stage.
Barrier three means Reece Jones will again need the gaps to appear, but what works in her favour is a race that appears to contain plenty of speed and could set up nicely for a horse charging late.
4. Royal Commodore is another at decent odds worth including after moving well in a Lismore trial win before heading south for Matthew Dunn, who combines with Nash Rawiller.
15. Mercy Me heads the early market after two trials ahead of her return, while 1. Farnicle is a fascinating fresh runner after showing plenty of ability earlier in his career and returns gelded following an encouraging September 11 Randwick trial.
