In the upcoming AFL Round 12 match, Geelong Cats are poised to deliver a significant win against West Coast Eagles. The Cats, after a recent victory against the Western Bulldogs, are in formidable form with a strong offensive ranking, placing 4th in the 2025 standings. Jeremy Cameron has been exceptional, scoring 13 goals in the past two matches, while Max Holmes provides value in midfield with high disposals. In contrast, West Coast Eagles have endured a challenging season, struggling with a depleted backline and only one win, suggesting a difficult game ahead for them.

West Coast Eagles vs Geelong Cats, Round 12 2025 - Expert Prediction

Geelong will chalk up another big win over hapless West Coast to close out AFL Round 12.

The Cats have won seven of their 11 matches in 2025 and come off a 14 point win in a high-class match against the Western Bulldogs in Round 11.

Their opponents, West Coast, have won just one match and were never really in it against Adelaide, going down to the Crows by 62.

The question mark in this match is not if Geelong will win, it is by how much. With West Coast’s depleted backline and lack of winners in the middle, the line on offer is well within reach.

The Cats rank 4th for scoring in 2025 and were big winners in their last interstate outing with that coming against Port Adelaide, while they have won their past five against West Coast by an average margin of 10 goals.

Take them to cover the start, while Jeremy Cameron will be amongst the goals yet again. Max Holmes represents value in disposal markets.

  • Geelong have won their past five matches against West Coast by an average margin of 68 points.
  • Max Holmes had 33 disposals last weekend.
  • Jeremy Cameron has booted 13 goals in the past two rounds.
  • The Cats rank 4th for scoring in 2025, West Coast are 17th.

Head to Head

Geelong have won the past five against West Coast with those coming at an average margin of 68 points. The lowest of those was the only one at Optus Stadium, an 18 point difference in 2022.

Jeremy Cameron kicked nine goals the last time the two sides met, while Ollie Henry booted four. Max Holmes had 26 disposals for the winners.
