FightMND was established with the purpose of finding treatments and ultimately a cure for Motor Neurone Disease.
Co-founder and patron is former Essendon player and Melbourne Football Club Coach, Neale Daniher who was diagnosed with MND in 2013 and he's been appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia as part of Monday’s Queen’s Birthday Honours.
The inspirational Daniher continues his crusade to 'beat the beast' with The Big Freeze, which is in its seventh year in 2021, an event that sees AFL players and celebrities plunge into icy water for this big fundraiser to fight MND.
