The Brisbane Lions will roar back into the winner’s circle this week, restricting the scoring of the Giants and winning with a 1-39 margin.

The Lions will be disappointed after their loss to the Crows last week and will respond quickly with a victory against the Giants, who have been in and out of form this season and are struggling to find their attacking flow.

The Giants have only won twice this season when scoring less than 100 points and that isn’t going to happen against the well oiled machine that is the Lions backline. Brisbane have had their own troubles inside 50 but have managed their results on the back of the defensive structure.

The Lions need a lot of forward entries to kick goals and they come up against the team that gives up the second most in the AFL. Brisbane will dominate the stoppages and get their points from there with GWS’s first ruck Kieren Briggs still out injured.

Will Ashcroft will be influential as always and despite collecting 31 disposals in the Lions loss to the Crows, it felt as though he was off and he will want to get his hands dirty and turn the game into Brisbane’s favour, which is what he has done all season.
