The 2026 AFL Finals Series continues with two huge semi-finals as Fremantle, Geelong, Brisbane and Adelaide fight to keep their premiership campaigns alive.

Fremantle hosts Geelong at Optus Stadium on Friday night, with the winner advancing to a preliminary final against Sydney. Brisbane and Adelaide then meet at the Gabba on Saturday night, with the winner progressing to face Hawthorn.

There are some major selection calls across the two games. Geelong has resisted bringing Sam De Koning back into its side, Fremantle has been forced into two changes, Brisbane has lost Noah Answerth through injury and Adelaide has recalled Zac Taylor.

Friday, September 11, 8:10pm at Optus Stadium

Fremantle: The Dockers have made two changes, with Brandon Walker unable to recover from the ankle injury he suffered during his qualifying final appearance.

Nathan O’Driscoll has also been dropped, with Corey Wagner and Judd McVee coming into the side. O’Driscoll has been named among the emergencies alongside Hugh Davies and Chris Scerri.

Geelong: The Cats have surprisingly gone unchanged despite reports young defender Sam De Koning could return to help combat Fremantle's tall forwards.

De Koning remains an emergency alongside Jack Martin and Jhye Clark, with Geelong backing in the same side for its trip west.

Brisbane Lions: Ty Gallop returns to the Lions side after being omitted for the qualifying final, adding height to Brisbane's backline.

Gallop replaces Noah Answerth, who has been ruled out after failing to pass a fitness test on the rolled ankle he suffered.

Adelaide Crows: Zac Taylor has regained his place after a hamstring complaint in Adelaide's only change for the semi-final.

Isaac Cumming has been omitted and named among the emergencies alongside Reilly O’Brien and Nick Murray.
