Mitch Moses is Back, the NRL is Wild & Piastri Goes Full Psycho | AOTG Ep. 23

The Eels have life. The Bulldogs are bulldozing. The Dolphins are on fire. And Oscar Piastri is leading the F1 World Championship with less emotion than a robot.

In Episode 23 of Ahead of the Game – Sports Chat, Ryan and Jez rip through a loaded Easter weekend of sporting madness.

It starts with the NRL: Mitch Moses returns and suddenly Parramatta look like a different team. Jez calls him the most important player in the league—and the stats back it up. The Dolphins continue to surprise under Christian Wolfe, with wins over Penrith and Melbourne and Katoa finally silencing his doubters.

The Bulldogs are doing to teams what Penrith used to do. The Raiders and Dragons are shock top 8 teams. And the Bunnies? Still broken.

Over in the AFL, Melbourne return to form against Fremantle, while the Suns fall apart against Richmond. Carlton and Sydney’s positions near the bottom of the ladder raise questions, and the Easter Monday Cats vs Hawks thriller might be the game of the year.

Then it’s NBA and NHL playoffs. The Pistons end a 25-year drought, Anthony Edwards torches the Lakers, and Vegas are proving depth matters in a long NHL campaign.

Finally, in F1, Oscar Piastri takes the lead in the championship. He’s 23, leading the most elite racing series in the world… and still hasn’t cracked a smile. Oh, and Saudi Arabia is building a 20-story-high Formula 1 racetrack.

Sport is wild. This episode captures it all.
