Elena Rybakina vs Elina Svitolina Tips, Prediction & Live Stream

Australian Open champion Elena Rybakina looks to continue her extraordinary record against fellow top 10 players when she squares off against Elina Svitolina in the Indian Wells semi-finals on Friday.

Rybakina will rise to World No. 2 for the first time in her career regardless of the outcome of this match, while Svitolina has continued her excellent start to the season, making the Indian Wells semi-finals for the second time in her career - nobody has won more than the Ukrainian's 19 matches so far in 2206.

However, it's the Rybakina top 10 stat that keeps turning heads - the Kazakh has compiled an 11-match winning streak against that elite group of players, including four already in 2026. Having already secured the WTA Finals and Australian Open trophies over the last few months, Indian Wells - widely regarded as the biggest tournament outside the four slams - is now well within her grasp.

You can't back against Rybakina right now. Of those 11 wins over top 10 players, she's covered a -3.5 line in nine of them. That tells you she's doing all this relatively comfortably. Svitolina definitely needs to be respected after her great win over Swiatek, but Rybakina has the higher ceiling and if she reaches it, she wins.
  • Rybakina has won 16 of her 18 completed matches in 2026
  • Rybakina has won her last 11 matches vs top 10 players
  • Rybakina has covered a -3.5 line in nine of those 11 wins
  • Rybakina has won three of her last four semi-finals
  • Svitolina has gone 6-6 in her last 12 semi-finals
  • Svitolina has gone 3-13 in her last 16 matches vs top three opponents

Rybakina vs Svitolina Head To Head

Currently level at 3-3. Surprisingly, this will be just their second meeting on hardcourt.

Elena Rybakina Form Analysis

  • 2026 Record: 16-3
  • WTA Indian Wells Record: 15-3
  • Current Ranking: No. 3
  • Career-High Ranking: No. 2 (live ranking)

Rybakina has maintained the extraordinary level that she found towards the end of last season, which culminated in a WTA Finals triumph.

The Kazakh captured her second Grand Slam title at the Australian Open when she beat Aryna Sabalenka in the final and could be on course to meet the World No. 1 in another big final if both win their semi-final matches in Indian Wells.

Rybakina dropped a set in her opening match against Hailey Baptiste, but since then she's been pretty much flawless.

The 26-year-old beat Marta Kostyuk 6-4 6-4 and benefitted from a retirement by Sonay Kartal before making it 11 straight top 10 scalps with a 6-1 7-6 victory over Jessica Pegula in a repeat of the AO semis.

Elina Svitolina Form Analysis

  • 2026 Record: 19-3
  • WTA Indian Wells Record: 23-11
  • Current Ranking: No. 9
  • Career-High Ranking: No. 3 (2017)

Svitolina's resurgence has been one of the standout stories on the WTA Tour over the last couple of years and she's operating at the peak of her powers right now.

No player has won more than Svitolina's 19 matches so far in 2026, with the Ukrainian launching the year with a title in Auckland and semi-final run at the Australian Open.

There was a minor blip in Doha as Svitolina was bounced in the R16 by Anna Kalinskaya, but she's been on fire ever since, reaching the final in Dubai (lost to Pegula) and now the semis in Indian Wells.

Like Rybakina, Svitolina dropped a set in her opening match against Laura Siegemund, but she's improved with each round and produced a brilliant display to upset Iga Swiatek 6-2 4-6 6-4 in the semi-finals.
