Clint Gutherson was shown the door at Parramatta, despite being one of the club's most consistent performers and he no doubt had revenge on his mind when he crossed for a double against the Eels earlier this season. With the Dragons aiming to snap a two-game losing skid, I'm tipping the veteran fullback to lead his side to victory at WIN Stadium on Saturday.

Yes, the Eels got the job done without Mitch Moses last week, but it was against the Titans at home, so does that really count? There's just been too many instances over the last few years where Parramatta have been absolutely devoid of ideas in attack without Moses, so I have to favour the Dragons at home and Under 47.5 total points for this clash.

The Eels have enjoyed success in recent times against the Dragons, winning the last four meetings between the teams - including a 23-22 golden point triumph back in Round 5 this season, with former Dragon Zac Lomax kicking the winning field goal.

It was an encouraging start to the season for the Dragons - they won half of their opening six games, with two defeats coming by a single point.

However, things have gone downhill since, with the Dragons winning just two games since Round 7 - and they were against horrifically out-of-form teams at the time in the Knights and Broncos.

There's much conjecture surrounding coach Shane Flanagan continuing to play son Kyle in the halves instead of Lachlan Ilias, who has been impressing in NSW Cup.

St George Illawarra head into this showdown following a crushing 56-6 loss to the Dolphins and 30-18 defeat to the Sharks before last week's bye.

It's been another rough season for the Eels, with their success basically depending on the fitness of Mitch Moses.

Unfortunately, Moses has been missing for the majority of the season, with his latest setback coming when he injured his calf during training for NSW ahead of Origin Game 2.

Parramatta were able to find enough spark to take care of a terrible Titans side at home last week, prevailing 36-20 as Will Penisini scored a late double.

Zac Lomax once again produced a monster performance, running for 211 metres from 25 carries, consistently getting the Eels on the front foot early in sets.
