NRL Round 24 promises a mix of tight contests, potential upsets, and dominant wins according to model projections. Sydney Roosters (1-12) and Gold Coast Titans (1-12) are labeled as notable upsets versus the market. The Cronulla Sharks and New Zealand Warriors are favored for 13+ blowout victories, capitalizing on strong form and recent history. Other close margin recommendations include the Bulldogs and Eels (both 1-12). Bettors are urged to note where the model sharply disagrees with the market and consider underdog selections for maximum value.

NRL Round 24 Margin Tips: Best 1-12 and 13+ Predictions

Round 24 of the 2026 NRL season presents several fascinating margin betting opportunities, with our numbers identifying a mixture of tight contests, potential upsets and a couple of teams capable of breaking away for 13+ victories.

The headline clash comes on Thursday night when the Panthers host the red-hot Roosters, while the Warriors and Sharks stand out as two teams capable of putting together convincing wins.

Elsewhere, our model disagrees considerably with the market on several games, particularly the Knights-Titans and Eels-Cowboys clashes.

Here are our best 1-12 and 13+ margin predictions for every Round 24 game.

Penrith Panthers vs Sydney Roosters

Tip: Sydney Roosters 1-12
Round 24 begins with a massive clash between Penrith and the Sydney Roosters, and our numbers suggest there will be very little separating them.

The Roosters enter the round on a five-game winning streak and have averaged 33.4 points per game during that stretch. Penrith have won three of their last five and remain one of the competition's more difficult teams to put away.

History strongly favours the Panthers, who have won four of the last five meetings between the clubs, but the current numbers give Sydney a slight edge.

Our model projects the Roosters to win 24.3-23.0, a margin of just 1.3 points.

Manly Sea-Eagles vs Dolphins

Tip: Dolphins 1-12

The Dolphins enter Friday night's game as strong favourites, but our numbers are expecting a much closer contest than the market.

Manly have lost five consecutive games and have conceded an average of 34 points per game during that stretch. However, the Dolphins have also dropped their last two and haven't consistently produced the dominant performances required to justify a 13+ selection.

There is also an interesting head-to-head trend. Manly have won three of the four previous meetings between these clubs, with those victories coming by 34, 28 and 40 points.

Our model has the Dolphins winning by less than one point. While we're still backing the visitors to get the job done, the numbers make Dolphins 1-12 preferable to chasing the bigger winning margin.

Canterbury Bulldogs vs South Sydney Rabbitohs

Tip: Canterbury Bulldogs 1-12

Canterbury get the nod against South Sydney, but recent meetings suggest another competitive contest could be coming.

The Bulldogs have won three of their last five matches while conceding just 17.6 points per game during that stretch. South Sydney have been considerably less predictable, alternating wins and losses across their last five appearances.

Four of the last five meetings between these teams have been decided by eight points or fewer, including South Sydney's 32-24 victory earlier this season.

Our model projects Canterbury to win by 3.1 points, keeping this comfortably inside the 1-12 range.

Cronulla Sharks vs Canberra Raiders

Tip: Cronulla Sharks 13+
Our model is relatively conservative on Cronulla this week, but there are enough signs in the underlying numbers to take a more aggressive position on the Sharks.

Cronulla have won four consecutive games and have averaged a huge 36.4 points across their last five matches.

More importantly for the margin market, the Sharks have shown an ability to turn victories into blowouts. Three of their last four wins have come by 13+ margins, including victories by 66, 36 and 16 points.

Cronulla have won four of their last five against Canberra, with three of those victories coming by 13+. Their average margin across those five meetings is +16.4 points.

Our model only projects a 5.4-point Cronulla victory, so there is some risk in pushing beyond the 1-12 range. However, the Sharks' recent winning margins and dominance of this matchup make Sharks 13+ one of our preferred bigger-margin plays of Round 24.

Parramatta Eels vs North QLD Cowboys

Tip: Parramatta Eels 1-12

One of the more interesting model-versus-market disagreements of the round comes at CommBank Stadium. North Queensland enter as favourites, but our numbers actually have Parramatta narrowly winning the game.

There is also plenty of history supporting another close contest. Each of the last five meetings between the Eels and Cowboys has been decided by eight points or fewer, with Parramatta winning four of them.

That includes a thrilling 33-30 Eels victory in Townsville earlier this season. Our model projects Parramatta to win by 2.6 points, making Eels 1-12 our upset margin selection.

Brisbane Broncos vs New Zealand Warriors

Tip: New Zealand Warriors 13+

New Zealand have won four of their last five games and have been particularly impressive defensively, conceding an average of just 10.8 points per game during that stretch.

The Warriors' last four victories have come by margins of 26, eight, 36 and 16 points, meaning three have cleared the 13+ mark.

Brisbane are heading in the opposite direction. The Broncos have lost four of their last five and have posted an average margin of -10 points during that period.

Then there is the previous meeting this season. The Warriors dismantled Brisbane 42-12, winning by 30 points. Our model's central projection points towards a closer result this time, but the combination of New Zealand's current form, defensive performance and recent ability to put teams away makes Warriors 13+ worth attacking.

Newcastle Knights vs Gold Coast Titans

Tip: Gold Coast Titans 1-12

This is the biggest upset selection of our Round 24 margin tips. Newcastle enter the matchup as strong favourites, but our model sees the contest very differently and actually projects Gold Coast to win by two points.

The Knights have been involved in several close games recently, including three consecutive defeats by a combined margin of only five points. Newcastle comfortably won the first meeting between these sides this season, beating Gold Coast 36-12, but the broader head-to-head record is considerably more competitive.

With our projected score sitting at 24.7-22.7 in favour of the Titans, we're prepared to go against the market and back Gold Coast to produce the upset.

Wests Tigers vs St George Illawarra Dragons

Tip: St George Illawarra 1-12

The dabble.com.au referral code is BETSAU. 18+. T&Cs apply.

The Dragons round out our selections, although the Tigers' recent struggles make this one tempting as a potential 13+ result. Wests have lost five consecutive games, averaging only 7.8 points while conceding 32 points per game during that period.

St George Illawarra have already beaten the Tigers 24-10 this season and have won four of the last five meetings between the clubs. The reason we're staying conservative is the Dragons' own inconsistency.

They have won just two of their last five games, while our model projects only 1.1 points between the teams.

There is clearly scope for St George Illawarra to win comfortably if the Tigers' recent problems continue, but Dragons 1-12 remains the safer margin selection based on the numbers.
