Being by Villermont and out of an unraced So You Think mare, Villasaurus will likely get over a bit more ground in time, although 1200m looks fine for Thursday's debut assignment.

The three-year-old has shown versatility in two 900m winter trial wins at Corowa, having led for a soft victory on July 31 before sitting behind the leaders and chasing via his latest.

He safely held off Tinwag in the first of those hit-outs and while that mare had to settle for fifth on debut earlier this month, she was a heavily backed into an odds-on quote there.

Wagga Roughie - Race 2 No. 2 G'day Gorgeous

Cranbourne trainer Daniel Williams takes a long road trip with this five-year-old sprinter, who has been freshened up after an even performance on the Ballarat Synthetic last month.

That second-up effort was an improvement on the plain fresh effort via a Mornington BM64 in June, with G'day Gorgeous competitive in two metro BM64's before a spell.

Anything resembling those Moonee Valley runs would have her right in the mix here and she has quickly turned around average form before, so respecting her in a weak Class 1.

Wagga Value Bet - Race 3 No. 11 Trifecta Ruby

Given she failed to let down on a Heavy 8 via her debut here last spring, hopefully, we can get a little upgrade on the current Soft 7 track reading and there's no more rain forecast.

With a big spell ahead of her second start at Narrandera on August 19, Trifecta Ruby has come nicely in that break and with clearer room in the straight, she arguably finishes second.

From a wide draw over 1000m, the daughter of Winning Ruppert was ridden cold and for luck in that fresh attempt, while from gate four, she can settle closer for this 1200m tilt.

On an otherwise tough meeting for a standout, Princess Nefertiti does look the best winning chance on Wagga's Thursday card, with the mare unlucky not to salute here fresh.

In her stable debut for Ben Brisbourne, the five-year-old was denied a run at a key stage and after switching back to the inside, she managed to pick up again late in restricted room.

A galloper that's finished in the money via all six career outings, her sole win was a 4.5-length romp over Nijiko just over a year ago, with that Soft 7 triumph coming second-up.
