Doomben Best Bet - Race 1 No. 10 La Barrita
La Barrita has performed well in both previous starts, including when debuting at Warwick Farm.
Racing on a Soft 5 surface, the filly was beaten just half a length when third in a 1000m maiden after jumping from a wide barrier and racing three wide without cover throughout.
That proved a strong form reference, with the tenth-placed runner subsequently winning at Newcastle.
Tony and Calvin McEvoy’s representative was then stepped up to Listed company for her first Brisbane appearance, finishing sixth of eight in the Bill Carter Stakes over 1350m at this venue.
The youngster became unbalanced early and over-raced through the middle stages, while the return to maiden company, an inside draw and the removal of blinkers all look positives as she drops back in distance.

Doomben Value Bet - Race 4 No. 6 Trapedo
Trapedo demonstrated solid form last preparation, including ending the campaign with two third-place finishes at this circuit.
The second of those placings came over 1650m in a Soft-track Class 4 event in February, where she was beaten three lengths.
The mare resumed against male rivals over this course and distance in April and was ridden with restraint before finishing just under four lengths from the winner on a Good 4 surface.
That form has since been boosted, with the winner going on to record a Benchmark 85 victory at this track.
The switch back to racing against her own sex is a positive, and while she is yet to win on a wet surface, she has produced several strong placings in such conditions and is selected to record the third win of her career.
Ladbrokes Popular SRM BM65 Handicap Tips (Race 8)
Doomben Roughie - Race 8 No. 3 Petite Palace
Petite Palace has produced some good efforts at big odds this preparation, including a third placing at $91 on the Gold Coast three starts ago.
Facing 10 rivals, the mare was beaten less than a length in the 1200m TAB Military Rose Plate on a rain-affected surface.
While unable to win in two subsequent starts, she has continued to perform solidly with sixth-place finishes on both occasions.
The most recent of those came in a Benchmark 66 event over 1110m at Ipswich three weeks ago, where she was beaten just over one-and-a-half lengths.
That effort followed a Benchmark 78 assignment at this venue, and with a strong record over the distance and a drying track holding no fears, the Michael Morrison-trained mare may prove capable of causing an upset in the finale.
