Belmont hosts an eight-race midweek program on Wednesday, with several progressive gallopers looking to capitalise on favourable placements and race conditions.

Belmont Best Bet - Race 2 No. 6 Ace Queen Suited

She's only contested Saturday events in her four appearances to date, making Wednesday's drop back in grade to a midweek maiden the easiest assignment that Ace Queen Suited has seen.

The daughter of Snippetson was competitive in her first two runs back in September, while her autumn lead-up trials suggested she had improved, as did the Belmont resumption on May 23.

Sustaining a good run from off the speed, she ultimately lacked the turn-of-foot of the winner over 1000m but still performed well.

There are decent metropolitan form references around many of the beaten brigade, including the beaten favourite, while fifth-placed Mystic Smile backed up seven days later to place at Belmont.

Getting to 1200m second-up is another positive for the Daniel Morton-trained filly.

Belmont Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 2 Atlantic Spirit

Although she did not produce in her first campaign under Neville Parnham, both May performances from Atlantic Spirit suggest she is working towards a win in Perth.

She drops in grade after running the fastest closing sectionals of the May 23 program at Belmont when finding some trouble as third in a 66+ event.

A useful three-year-old pair in Baby Pearl and Xentaro filled the quinella of that sprint.

That second-up run followed an eye-catching return when just missing Last Stylebender on May 6, and he franked that form with a Belmont victory a fortnight later.

She had decent references around her autumn 2025 outings in Victoria and, with any improvement on last month's efforts, Atlantic Spirit is well placed to bring up win number six here.

Liquor Barons Handicap Tips (Race 5)

Belmont Value Bet - Race 5 No. 9 Kirrily

There has been merit to both runs this campaign, especially when factoring in that Kirrily had no prior first or second-up form.

The May 9 resumption over a mile was much better than it reads, where the four-year-old hit a flat spot at a key stage before picking up again late.

Although never in winning contention when going straight to 2100m for her second-up assignment, it was another pass-mark effort from the mare.

She strips fitter with that staying effort under her belt and carries 2.5kg less than she did at her latest appearance.

Kirrily was in decent touch at the back end of her summer campaign, winning two of her last four outings before being spelled after a 1990m success with 60kg under Tash Faithfull, who has been aboard for her past four starts.
