Track's currently a Soft 6, with the rail in the 10m position. We've recorded 2mm of rainfall in the last seven days.
The forecast for race day on Saturday looks like a bit of rain in the morning and afternoon, anywhere between 1mm and 3mm. So I do expect the track to deteriorate to potentially the worse side of Soft if we do get that rainfall.
They are tipping a westerly wind, which is a headwind in the front straight, anywhere between 15 and 25km/h, so that's something to watch out for.
There is a little bit of marking down the front straight from all the recent winter racing, and I do expect that if we are dry, the inside will hold up. But, as I said, if we do get any race-day rain, they may just try and ride for clear ground.

Track's currently rated a Soft 7 (now a Soft 6). We've had 47.8mm of rain over the past seven days.
Really favourable weather conditions heading into the weekend, with some nice sunshine, light winds, and we're predicting that it'll be a really nice day for racing.
Rail for Saturday is in the 11m position from the 1000m to the winning post, and 8m for the remainder.
So, we've moved the rail out to the 11m position just to get over some marking from the previous meeting a fortnight ago.
This will help manage our track into the spring. Last year it was in the same position, and the track raced really well heading into that meeting.
