Official Track Manager Comments
Currently this morning after our track walk, the track is rated a Good 4.
The last time we raced here at Rosehill we had the rail in the three-metre position. We're moving it out today to the five-metre position, where there's a lovely pad of grass.
Since our last race meeting we've already verti-drained the track. As we're getting into spring and moving into beautiful conditions, it just allows that root system to get right down into the track and decompacts the surface.
Our weather today is a little bit cooler than it has been, around 19 degrees with a lot of cloud cover but no rainfall. Tomorrow is going to be similar, a little bit higher at 21 degrees, and race day is going to be mostly sunny around 24 degrees with a little bit of wind coming out of the east at around 10 to 14km/h.

The track's looking great and has come up well from our renovation following Aurie's Star race day. The team took a full week to renovate the track and it has been in recovery mode for the last month, presenting really well for tomorrow's meeting.
The renovation went really well. We've seeded the track and that seed is really starting to shine through now, presenting a nice, thick, lush cover of grass.
We've pushed the running rail back into the True position, so we've got the full width of running there for the races tomorrow. It presents nice and uniform across, so I expect the track to play well for both circle and straight-course racing.
With the conditions tomorrow, we've got a light northerly wind, so that's a headwind around the home turn and then a tailwind up the home straight. You might see riders look for a little bit of cover if it does kick over 15km/h from the north, but all in all I think there'll be decent tempo throughout the day, they should spread across the track and everyone should get their chance.
Beautiful conditions tomorrow, a top of 21 degrees, just a light northerly wind and sunny all day, so it should be a perfect day's racing.
