- Gold Coast Titans vs Manly Sea Eagles NRL 2025 Round 15 FAQ’s
The Titans defence still stinks, they have allowed 30+ points to opponents in 8 of 12 games so far this season and there is nothing to say it is going to get any better soon. They are disjointed, lack confidence and I would even go as far to say they even lack ability in some positions.
Manly are inconsistent. They had an amazing first half against the Knights last week where they dominated and made the opposing home fans boo their team at half time. Then they allowed 5 tries to 1 and 6 second half linebreaks to a team that doesn’t even make linebreaks. It was reminiscent of a few other capitulations that the Sea Eagles have had earlier in the year.
The expectation in this game is that Manly will have little trouble making their way up the field, they are the top ranked team for Run Metres up against the 15th ranked defensive team. The Titans allow a try for every 9.3 Tackles Inside 20m and as long as the Sea Eagles don’t turn the ball over, they will rack up the points. Gold Coast will get some consolidation points as Manly inevitably clock off defensively at some point.
Take the Sea Eagles to cover, Game Total Over and Tolu Koula to repeat his effort from last week as first and anytime tryscorer.
- 77% of Manly Games and 75% of Titans games this season have been decided by 13+ points.
- Every other head to head result since 2019 has gone Over 50.5, the most recent game was 46 pts, this trend continues.
- The Sea Eagles have scored first in 3 straight games.
- Tolu Koula has scored 9 tries this season, he was first tryscorer last weekend
Head to Head
Manly hold a 6-4 advantage in the head to head since the start of the 2019 season. They have won 2 straight games and 5 of the last 7 covering in all but 1 of their 6 victories.
The Game Total has gone Over in 6 of 10 games while the Winning Margin has overwhelmingly been 13+ with 8 of 10 results falling that way.

The Titans got railed by the Broncos last weekend 44-14 in another poor defensive showing. They have now allowed 30+ points to their opponents in 8 of 12 games so far this season, are ranked 15th in opposition Run Metres and 17th in Opposition Linebreaks.
They allowed 10 Linebreaks to the Broncos in the defeat and while the focus is on their poor defence their attack has been shocking too. 43 Tackles Inside 20m for just the 14 pts is not good enough.
Going into the round the Titans had an ok Tryscoring Efficiency but were just not getting into good enough position to convert, here they were in position but did absolutely nothing with their chances.

Manly had it in the bag last week against the Knights but allowed their opponent to score 5 tries to 1 in the second half to steal defeat from the jaws of victory.
60% Territory and 57% Possession in the first half saw Manly get out to a sizeable lead but the team that came back out on the park in the second term were Not Like Us. They gave up 6 Linebreaks in the second 40 to a Knights team that usually only average 5 Linebreaks in an entire game.
It is difficult to know whether to take anything out of the performance or if it was just a product of the situation. The only problem is these situations are starting to occur on a more regular basis for the Sea Eagles with their consistency not lasting for a full 80 minutes.
Manly are still the top ranked team in average Run Metres and Possession.
