Cronulla Sharks vs Canterbury Bulldogs NRL 2026 Round 11 FAQ’s

The Bulldogs are in a hole. They have lost 4 straight and the last 4 teams to face them have piled on 142 points. That is not the defensive profile you want heading into a game against a Cronulla Sharks side that can score quickly when their outside backs are healthy.

Ronaldo Mulitalo and Jesse Ramien return for Cronulla which gives their left and right edges more strike, while the Canterbury Bulldogs get Matt Burton, Max King and Kurt Mann back into the side. That helps Canterbury, but it does not wipe away a month of defensive leakage.

The Sharks have averaged 31.2 points across their last 5 games and Canterbury have conceded 31.6 across their last 5. The Stat rankings point the same way with Cronulla sitting 6th in attack for Points while the Dogs are 11th defensively and just 16th in attack for Points themselves.

The player prop angle is the Bulldogs half. Cronulla have allowed a try to opposing halfbacks in 3 of their last 4 games and Lachlan Galvin is named in the No.7 jersey with enough attacking responsibility to make the anytime and first tryscorer plays worth taking.

Take Cronulla to cover -4.5 and their Team Total to go Over 26.5. Lachlan Galvin as anytime tryscorer and first tryscorer are the top player prop plays.

Cronulla have won 7 of their last 9 games against Canterbury and hold a 3-2 record across the last 5 meetings.
The Sharks have averaged 31.2 points across their last 5 games while Canterbury have conceded 31.6 points per game in the same span.
Canterbury have conceded 142 points across their current 4-game losing streak.
Cronulla have allowed a try to opposing halfbacks in 3 of their last 4 games, putting Lachlan Galvin directly into the tryscorer market.

Head to Head Stats

Cronulla have won 3 of the last 5 head to head games against Canterbury with a +18 pts margin in each game. The most recent meeting finished 24-6 to Cronulla in Round 27 last season after Canterbury won the earlier 2025 matchup 20-6. Cronulla have also won 7 of their last 9 games against the Bulldogs.

Sharks Atk Rank	Bulldogs Def Rank	Stat	Bulldogs Atk Rank	Sharks Def Rank

Cronulla Sharks Form Analysis

Cronulla have split their recent form with 2 wins and 3 losses across their last 5 games but the attack has not been the issue. They have averaged 31.2 points in that stretch and their best football still comes when they build field position, win metres through the middle and let their outside backs finish sets.

The return of Ronaldo Mulitalo and Jesse Ramien is massive for this matchup. Mulitalo is back from the ACL injury he suffered playing for New Zealand last October and Ramien returns after missing 4 games with a knee injury.

The concern is the middle rotation. Blayke Brailey is out with concussion and Cameron McInnes is missing with an ankle injury, leaving Jayden Berrell at hooker and Jesse Colquhoun at lock. Cronulla can still score enough to win this game, but they need to be far cleaner defensively than they have been.

Canterbury Bulldogs Form Analysis

Canterbury are coming off 4 straight losses and the defence has been belted. The Bulldogs have conceded 142 points during that run and they are averaging 17.6 points scored and 31.6 points conceded over their last 5.

The cavalry returns with Matt Burton back at five-eighth after illness, Max King back in the front row after a jaw injury and Kurt Mann returning through the interchange after concussion. That gives them more control and toughness, but the Dogs still need to prove they can stop momentum once the opposition gets rolling.

Galvin is the interesting betting piece. He is named at halfback, he will have the ball in hand close to the line, and Cronulla's recent record against opposing halfbacks makes him a live chance to pinch one.
