Sunshine Coast Best Bet - Race 2 No. 7 Caspernova

He's already built a handy record, with four wins and four placings from 10 starts to date, while there's improvement to come second-up off a forgivable return.

Caspernova was beaten as a drifting odds-on fav via his June 18 resumption, where he was slower away than usual and being fractious in the gates pre-race attributed to the start.

There was still merit to the fresh run, where he just peaked late on a wide bid, whereas the winner box-seated and third led, while fourth (He's Heaven) franked the form last Saturday.

Sunshine Coast Favourite - Race 4 No. 3 Belegato

This Liam Birchley-trained galloper hasn't been sighted since taking out the Darby McCarthy on May 24, but he was kept on the fresh side ahead of that second-up win.

He outperformed a long starting price first-up for a third-of-twelve at Listed level, where Belegato finished within half a length of Spicy Martini, who was a Group 3 winner two starts later.

Belegato has been consistent all season, with three wins and three placings from seven starts over the 2024/25 period, while recent form suggests that he's the class horse in this race

Double R Group Winx Guineas Tips (Race 6)

Sunshine Coast Feature Bet - Race 6 No. 1 Beau Dazzler

This colt is a price for the risk, as it's not an ideal set-up coming back from a Queensland Derby tilt, although, Beau Dazzler was only third-up in that staying feature.

Also, he didn't get a chance to stay 2400m, with the youngster covering ground in that Group 1 and his best run of the prep was first-up over this distance in the Queensland Guineas.

Under set weights conditions, Beau Dazzler is well placed as the best credential horse in the field and most of his opposition haven't done much outside of benchmark level.

Sunshine Coast Value Bet - Race 7 No. 9 Gumdrops

The Dane Ripper Stakes reference has to be respected, with first, second, third and fifth home in the Group 1 Tatts Tiara all coming from that Group 2 on June 14.

Gumdrops recorded a fifth-place finish in the Dane Ripper Stakes and given she was three-wide, her effort had as much merit any in that race, while she'll only strip fitter now third-up.

She worked well in two Sydney trials before heading north, with this is her first campaign under Chris Waller and the champion trainer has Gumdrops ticking over nicely.

Height 4 Hire BM85 Handicap Tips (Race 9)

Sunshine Coast Roughie - Race 9 No. 3 This'llbetheone

This'llbetheone has been a handy recruit for the Jack Bruce yard, with five wins since moving to Queensland and he's overdue for a Saturday metro victory.

The resuming six-year-old often takes a run, however, this is his shortest turnaround for the new stable and he was given a short spell after saluting with 60kg at Ipswich on April 21.

He won his only prior attempt over this track/trip, while there was as much depth to the BM85 he contested on April 1 when runner-up (third from that was a Listed winner at his next start).
