Chalouhi Handicap Tips (Race 4)


Randwick Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 5 Hurstville Zagreb

He was unbeaten from two runs in his first campaign, which included a comfortable debut triumph on heavy ground before taking out a metro BM64.

Hurstville Zagreb was unlucky in his hat-trick bid first-up at Gosford, where the three-year-old sustained a wide run and the rider lost the whip at the 150m.

Enter The Dragon has won five from seven and he completed a hat-trick in that May 10 contest, so the form should up and this gelding maps for more favours here.

Fujitsu Airstage Handicap Tips (Race 7)


Randwick Best Bet - Race 7 No. 8 Zaphod

Zaphod is a proven weight carrier, so the 4kg rise for Saturday's assignment shouldn't worry him and the Kris Lees-trained galloper is down in grade second-up.

He was supported fresh when runner-up and that April 26 event is a strong reference, with that race producing both Les Vampires (Gosford Cup winner) and Flying Bandit (Wagga Cup winner).

From three attempts on heavy ground, Zaphod has recorded two wins and a third, and among those triumphs was a Heavy 10 success on Australian debut.

The Charity Challenge Handicap Tips (Race 8)


Randwick Roughie - Race 8 No. 10 Zouatica

It was an enormous return victory at Listed level in Canberra, where Zouatica covered ground in a seven furlong affair and that run left him flat second-up.

The five-year-old was then backed at longer odds in the Tamworth Cup and while he didn't threaten in that third-up tilt, it was a competitive effort and 1600m suits now.

As one the main speed influences in the field, Zouatica should be put into the race early and the underfoot conditions are in his favour (three-from-three on heavy tracks).

Randwick Value Bet - Race 9 No. 16 Boltsaver

This Victorian is searching for wet ground and he has a fitness base for Saturday's assignment, with Boltsaver having completed two runs in April.

He appeared to have his last event at Warrnambool won, although the gelding was giving 2kg to an in-form winner who had another run under the belt.

It all comes down to the testing conditions and if the middle/wider lanes are favoured late on this Randwick card, then Boltsaver could be very dangerous with 54.5kg.

Wilson Asset Management Handicap Tips (Race 10)


Randwick Favourite - Race 10 No. 3 Drift Net

Although she took nine starts to breakthrough, Drift Net was still progressing fairly well when recording back-to-back victories in May/June last year.

The Godolphin mare returned to her teasing ways over spring and early summer, with five placings from as many starts and she simply couldn't put a race away.

1100m proved a touch sharp fresh, while after tracking the leaders second-up over 1300m, Drift Net cashed in and that second-up win could do wonders for her confidence.
