Saturday racing in Adelaide heads to Morphettville with a nine-race meeting featuring a strong mix of progressive types, proven wet-track performers and in-form local stables.

This Phillip Stokes-trained youngster was costly for punters last campaign after a massive second-up breakthrough victory at Morphettville.

There is still plenty of time for the three-year-old to make amends, however, with Harmonic Dancer arriving here for just his third campaign and off three autumn trials.

There looks to be plenty of intent fresh going off his latest appearance, where he was given a solid workout to win the trial.

Harmonic Dancer faces older rivals here who have mostly found their ceiling, while rain-affected ground may also prove key after the drop-off late last campaign came back on Good tracks.

Blinkers have been removed for this resumption and Harry Grace has options from a middle draw.

Morphettville Value Bet - Race 6 No. 7 Justacclaim

There is clearly an opinion of Justacclaim, a lightly raced four-year-old who was very raw when winning an Oakbank trial before debuting on December 7.

The grey landed some big bets with that debut victory before heading straight to the paddock.

After getting home fairly well first-up at Strathalbyn, the gelding then raced wide and without cover on May 16 in a leader-dominated affair.

For now, with a horse who is still learning the caper, finding a rail to follow should suit and that makes barrier one a positive here.

Justacclaim has also always looked a type who would appreciate headgear and he gets that on Saturday with winkers applied, while there is still plenty of room for improvement.

While still competitive earlier in the campaign, Sassy For Sure has been stronger through the line since blinkers were applied.

That key gear change was in effect when the mare got home for fourth on April 11.

It is also worth putting a line through the April 25 performance that followed, where she was badly held up behind a very talented winner.

Sassy For Sure then backed that up with good closing sectionals on Goodwood Day in a race won by the talented Bred ’Em All, who heads to Melbourne on Saturday.

The daughter of Doubtland finds an easier assignment here back against her own sex, yet only rises 1kg and is going well enough to take out a race of this strength.

Thomas Farms Handicap Tips (Race 9)

Morphettville Best Bet - Race 9 No. 10 Grinzinger Halo

Especially with a much more generous quote on offer, Grinzinger Halo is worth another chance after her May 16 defeat as favourite.

The four-year-old was simply set too big a task there after settling back in the field and finding an awkward position throughout.

It was still a pass-mark effort and she had quickly risen in distance there on the seven-day turnaround after catching the eye on Goodwood Day when getting home strongly.

That performance followed a luckless return on the Parks circuit in April.

Grinzinger Halo is capable of settling much closer from a low draw on Saturday and she also saluted fourth-up over this track-and-trip in the spring following a Soft 7 victory, so conditions should not pose an issue.
