Hawkesbury Favourite - Race 4 No. 4 World Alliance

He was a notable drifter in the market ahead of his third-up tilt and World Alliance was poor in that Kembla Grange run, however, he was in the worst going.

Freshened-up and back to 1100m suits the five-year-old, who may have just been flat last time after carrying a big weight in a fast-run race at Canterbury.

Four of his five wins have come either first or second-up and on return in February, he rattled home at Randwick and beat a subsequent Group winner in the process.

Hawkesbury Best Bet - Race 5 No. 2 Jamberoo

There was plenty of merit to his fresh effort at Warwick Farm, where the gelding was clearly the pick of the on-speed brigade when runner-up in a fast-run race.

Jamberoo looks the main speed influence in this lineup, so he can cross and be rated kindly under apprentice hoop Zac Wadick, who takes 2kg off with the claim.

All four of his wins have come on rain affected ground, so Jamberoo gets conditions to suit and his form has been decent since joining the O'Shea & Charlton yard.

Hawkesbury Roughie - Race 6 No. 11 Alabama State

Hawkesbury can be a horses for courses circuit and this local colt from the Jack Pilkington stable is unbeaten from two starts on his home track.

The three-year-old is long odds given his low rating in this Group 3 contest, but with competitive efforts via his last three black-type tilts, this is well worth a shot at the stumps.

Alabama State was very unlucky third-up last prep and he held form throughout the spring, while he's been ticking over fairly well in two lead-up runs.

Hawkesbury Next Best Bet - Race 7 No. 11 Written In Code

The drought breaker at end of her last campaign has given Written In Code plenty of confidence, with the five-year-old arriving here off two stylish autumn wins.

Her last victory was recorded second-up over this track/trip on April 9, where the five-year-old ran the fastest last 400m and 200m of the entire card.

This is clearly a much harder assignment, but now fit and in career best form vs rivals who are mostly early in their work or out of touch, she's here at the right time.

Richmond Club Hawkesbury Gold Cup Tips (Race 8)

Hawkesbury Feature Bet - Race 8 No. 3 Mighty Ulysses

He finished alongside of Punch Lane (fav) on return at Randwick and Mighty Ulysses meets that key rival 1kg better off from that seven-furlong contest.

The six-year-old has recorded two stakes wins from nine starts in Australia and that includes a second-up success last autumn (has won three from four second-up).

While he wasn't disgraced in his only heavy track appearance Down Under, Mighty Ulysses may want an upgrade or two on the current Heavy 8 reading.

Hawkesbury Value Bet - Race 10 No. 10 Moby Dick

After being unsuited on a shifty and Moonee Valley track first-up, this son of Toronado closed off nicely for a sixth-of-fourteen finish over 1200m at Randwick.

Moby Dick recorded the second-fastest last 400m of the April 19 meeting and while he's untried at 1400m, that second-up effort suggests that it's worth a try.

He does have above average ability, which was evident last campaign when defeating Headwall, Baraqiel and Nadal (all Group class horses) on a Soft 7.
