The form of that event is working out well and the gelding ended that prep with a good fourth, beaten a length when stepped up to 1200m for the first time for the Listed Ark Stakes at Ascot.
The runner-up that day is among those to have won subsequently and having impressed in a barrier trial here last month the selection looks capable of resuming with a win.

Adam Durrant’s representative has been going well this prep finishing runner-up in three of his four starts to date.
The son of Sessions resumed with a close second over 1400m at Ascot and he filled the same position when beaten a length stepped up to 1600m at the same venue subsequently.
While the pick could finish only fourth at Pinjarra Scarpside on his penultimate outing he was only beaten just over a length having been ridden from mid-division.
A change of tactics saw the gelding race on the speed when beaten less than a length into second on a wet track over 1800m when returning to Ascot earlier this month.
The tactics change appeared no issue on that occasion and he is expected to have no issues racing on the pace once more.
Jockey Lucy Fiore knows the four-year-old well and she looks capable of steering the gelding to victory stepping up in distance.

The four-year-old recorded two wins at Gatton earlier this season including in a Benchmark 70+ handicap over 1400m in November.
The pick was spelled following a last of seven when racing over 1600m at Ascot two starts later and he resumed with a solid fourth place finish in a six-runner contest there just under a month ago.
The gelding was beaten just over two lengths when contesting a Class 5 event held on a good 4 track on that occasion with the gelding racing over a distance short of his best that day.
The son of Snippetson disappointed when fading to finish a well beaten last in an eight-runner event over 1200m back at Ascot earlier this month but he can be forgiven that effort.
Jockey Joseph Azzopardi gets on well with the gelding having won once and placed second once on him from three starts together and the selection looks value to record his second win at this track.

Belmont Feature Bet - Race 8 No. 4 Belta Of A Song
The daughter of Your Song showed good form last prep including when breaking through for her first win in a 1300m maiden at Northam in October.
The selection went on to follow up when taking out a Class 1 event at Belmont by a length just under two weeks later with both of those efforts coming on a sound surface.
The mare ended that prep with a length success when contesting a Class 3handicap over this distance at Bunbury in November.
The six-year-old came home a length clear of her rivals on that occasion and she resumed with a fourth at Pinjarra Scarpside at the start of this month.
The pick raced over 1200m when beaten just under four lengths on that occasion and she is expected to have improved for that effort.
Steven Parnham is set to ride for the first time here and with his mount expected to have improved for her return to action she is taken to salute racing second up.
