The Hobart Hurricanes broke the Brisbane Heat's hearts on Wednesday night following a run out on the final ball of the match at the Gabba.
After winning the toss and electing to bowl, the Heat bowled the Hurricanes out for 150 in the last over of their innings thanks to a magnificent spell of bowling by international star Mujeeb Ur Rahmen.
Taking 5/15 off his four overs, the Afghanistan leg-spinner tore the Hurricanes middle order apart.
Collapsing to be 3/8 in the third over, the Brisbane Heat looked down and out before Max Bryant (32) and Lewis Gregory (29) settled the innings.
Following the loss of Simon Milenko at 7/122, the Brisbane Heat looked like their fightback would fall short, however, James Bazely backed up his magnificent debut performance with a brilliant unbeaten 49 including a couple of monstrous sixes.
Requiring seven to win off the final over, Hurricanes paceman Scott Boland produced a terrific performance to only go for five off his first five balls, leaving Mark Steketee the task of two to win off the last ball.
Hitting the ball to short cover and running, Mark Steketee looked home and ready to send the game into a super over before a direct hit from Colin Ingram ran Steketee out.
The win took the Hurricanes to third spot on the ladder while the Heat have slumped to second last.
