Brisbane Bullets are tipped to cover the +11.5 handicap against Melbourne United at John Cain Arena, supported by their league-leading 16.9 offensive rebounds per game and recent form with three wins in their last four matches. Tyrell Harrison 10+ rebounds is a preferred player prop, given his double-digit rebounding in three games this season and strong performances against Melbourne. A smaller play is suggested on Cole Anthony 30+ points, rebounds and assists, reflecting his scoring average. Melbourne have dominated the head-to-head but hold a modest 2-3 home record this season.

Melbourne United vs Brisbane Bullets NBL27 Expert Tips

The Brisbane Bullets are tipped to cover the +11.5 line against Melbourne United at John Cain Arena on Saturday night, with Tyrell Harrison 10+ rebounds at 2.40 our preferred player prop.

Melbourne have won three straight games and dominated this matchup historically, winning 17 of the last 18 meetings. However, their 2-3 home record this season makes an 11.5-point handicap difficult to justify against a Brisbane team that has won three of its last four games.

The Bullets arrive following impressive victories over Adelaide and Perth, scoring 96 and 109 points respectively. They also lead the NBL with 16.9 offensive rebounds per game, an important advantage against a Melbourne side allowing a league-high 14.5 offensive boards.

Harrison has recorded double-digit rebounds in three games this season and collected 11 boards in two of his last three appearances against Melbourne. United's rebounding numbers make his 10+ rebounds market attractive at 2.40.

We'll also have a smaller play on Cole Anthony 35+ points, rebounds and assists at 2.05, with the Melbourne guard averaging 23.6 points alone this season.

Back Brisbane +11.5 at 1.87 and Tyrell Harrison 10+ rebounds at 2.40, with a smaller play on Cole Anthony 35+ points, rebounds and assists at 2.05.

Key Stats

  • Brisbane have won three of their last four games.
  • Melbourne are 2-3 at home this season.
  • Brisbane lead the NBL with 16.9 offensive rebounds per game.
  • Tyrell Harrison has recorded 10+ rebounds in three of ten games this season.

Melbourne United vs Brisbane Bullets Head to Head

Melbourne lead the all-time series 69-41 and have won 17 of the last 18 meetings against Brisbane. United have won the last five encounters, although the two most recent games were decided by just five and six points, including a 98-96 victory in January.

Melbourne United Form

Melbourne improved to 6-5 with a comfortable 94-74 home victory over New Zealand on Monday, extending their winning streak to three games.

Josh Oduro dominated the glass with 19 rebounds to accompany 17 points, while Cole Anthony contributed 21 points and Luke Travers added 12 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

United have been strong defensively this season, allowing just 90.8 points per game, the third-best mark in the competition. However, their 2-3 record at John Cain Arena shows they have not been as reliable at home as their recent head-to-head dominance over Brisbane might suggest.

Brisbane Bullets Form

Brisbane continued their recent improvement with a 109-104 victory over Perth on Wednesday, moving to 6-5 for the season.

The Bullets exploded for 37 first-quarter points and led by 20 at halftime before surviving a late Wildcats comeback. Their bench outscored Perth's reserves 43-31, while Nate Hinton contributed 13 points and eight rebounds.

Tyrell Harrison finished with 16 points and five rebounds, while Raul Neto provided ten points and eight assists. Brisbane have now won three of their last four games, including consecutive victories over Adelaide and Perth, and their league-leading offensive rebounding gives them another avenue to challenge Melbourne's defence.

Verdict

Back Brisbane +11.5 at 1.87 and Tyrell Harrison 10+ rebounds at 2.40, with a smaller play on Cole Anthony 35+ points, rebounds and assists at 2.05.
