Nick Larkey reached 300 career goals but was quiet otherwise, and if Harry Sheezel is tagged again by a quality opponent this week, the Roos will need others to step up in his absence.

Sydney accounted for Melbourne by 17 pts in a rollicking SCG clash that was tighter than the Swans would have liked but showcased their depth of match-winners. Malcolm Rosas Jnr was the story, booting seven goals in a career-defining performance that included five before half-time. Isaac Heeney fought through calf soreness to finish with 33 Disposals and Brodie Grundy dominated the ruck against Max Gawn with 45 Hitouts in his 250th game.
