After missing more than two seasons with injury, Carlton forward Charlie Curnow has had a sensational start to the 2022 campaign with 62 goals, his best season to date despite so much footy left to play.

At $1.05 with Ladbrokes, he is followed for the 2022 Coleman Medal by Tom Hawkins ($13.00), who sits seven behind Curnow on 55 goals.

Curnow is clearly the big favourites, with the bookie now only offering odds on the top three players. Tom Lynch rounds off the betting at $17.00, with the Geelong star boasting 59 goals this season.

2020 Coleman Medal winner Tom Hawkins and Tom Lynch are firmly in contention, but the bookies seem to have lost hope of anyone catching Curnow following his excellent season. Of course, this does provide decent odds if you do choose to bet on either Hawkins or Lynch, but they are clearly not fancied to catch the favourite at this point.

With 20 goals currently separating 15 players at the top of the charts, this has been one of the most exciting and unpredictable seasons for betting on the Coleman Medal. However, with the season edging towards its climax, it seems as though Curnow will be the winner of the medal unless someone can do something special, or if the favourite picks up an injury or suddenly losses the ability to score goals.
