With the AFL season here, thoughts have already started turning to who will win the competition, who will be the surprise package, and who will win the Coleman Medal.

The Coleman Medal, awarded to the AFL played that kicks the most goals in the home and away season, is currently held by Harry McKay of Carlton.

McKay led the way as he kicked 58 goals in the 2021 season despite the Blues missing out on the finals.

It is McKay that is currently fancied to retain the Coleman Medal as he is the $3.75 favourite with Ladbrokes

Just behind him in the betting are Tom Hawkins ($6.00), Jeremy Cameron ($6.50), Tom Lynch ($9.00), Aaron Naughton and Lance Franklin ($11.00).

The betting for this award is something that offers a lot of potential value, but you should tread carefully.

While the odds will shift as the season goes on, certain players have been given odds for a particular reason, with players on teams that struggle to get forward usually given longer odds.
