Victoria Mboko vs Karolina Muchova Tips, Prediction & Live Stream

A cracking quarter-final is in prospect at the Miami Open on Tuesday as Victoria Mboko and Karolina Muchova clash in a rematch of last month's Doha final.

Muchova got the win and first WTA 1000 title on that occasion, but I think Mboko is primed for revenge in the 305. I backed Mboko to win this fourth quarter (that also featured Iga Swiatek) pre-tournament and I'm not about to jump ship now.

The 19-year-old has already showcased she's a quick learner. Mboko lost her first meetings with Coco Gauff, Elena Rybakina and Mirra Andreeva before going on to beat them all in their next encounters. After last month's defeat to Muchova in the Doha final, Mboko has another opportunity to turn the tables - and she's been playing at a sustained high level all year, winning 19 of her 24 matches.

The Canadian has won four of her six tour-level quarter-finals, with the two defeats coming against Aryna Sabalenka and Rybakina - the two best players in the world. I believe Mboko is operating just behind them at No. 3 or No. 4 on current form. Muchova is obviously in brilliant touch herself and is most certainly a top 10 player herself when fully fit. I just have this feeling with Mboko right now, so will be backing the teenage superstar to edge this one in three sets.
  • Mboko has a 19-5 record in 2025
  • Mboko has won three of her last four quarter-finals
  • Mboko has won four of her last six matches vs top 20 players
  • Muchova has seen Over 22.5 games in six of her last nine quarter-finals
  • Muchova has lost seven of her last nine matches vs top 10 players

Mboko vs Muchova Head To Head

Muchova leads 1-0, winning their only previous clash in a tight two-setter in the Doha final last month.

Victoria Mboko Form Analysis

  • 2026 Record: 19-5
  • WTA Miami Record: 4-1
  • Current Ranking: No. 9
  • Career-High Ranking: No. 9 (March 2026)

What a 12 months it's been for Mboko.

This time last year, Mboko was celebrating winning her first main draw match at WTA level. Now, she's an established top 10 player and already has a WTA 1000 title under her belt.

After runner-up finishes in Adelaide and Doha already this season, Mboko is looking good to once again challenge for silverware in Miami.

Mboko eased into the R16 with straight sets victories over Anna Blinkova and Anastasia Zakharova before beating doubles partner and fellow teenager Mirra Andreeva in three sets.

The 19-year-old finished strongly, prevailing 7-6 4-6 6-0 for her second win over Andreeva this season.

Karolina Muchova Form Analysis

  • 2026 Record: 17-3
  • WTA Miami Record: 13-3
  • Current Ranking: No. 14
  • Career-High Ranking: No. 8 (2023)

Muchova's biggest battle has been staying injury-free, but when she's fit and firing, she's comfortably a top 10 player.

Currently ranked No. 14 in the world, Muchova has only lost three matches so far in 2026, with her highlight coming in Doha when she captured a maiden WTA 1000 title.

Like Mboko, it's taking the very best to beat Muchova at the moment - quite literally, her three defeats in 2026 have come against the No. 1 (Sabalenka), No. 2 (Swiatek) and No. 3 (Gauff) players at the time of those matches.

Muchova survived a tough three-setter in her Miami opener against Camila Osorio before taking out Katie Boulter and Alexandra Eala in easy straight sets - the latter by a crushing 6-0 6-2 score.
