Parramatta Eels are expected to dominate the Wests Tigers in their Round 22 encounter. The Tigers enter off a six-game losing streak, averaging just 6.4 points per match while conceding over 30, and their last four losses have all been by 13 or more points. Parramatta, despite recent struggles, showed improvement and welcome back key players. Expert tips include backing Parramatta at -8.5, a win by 13+, Joash Papalii as an anytime tryscorer, and Josh Addo-Carr for first try, given his excellent record against the Tigers.

Wests Tigers vs Parramatta Eels, Round 22 2026 - Expert Prediction

Parramatta are backed to take advantage of a Tigers side in freefall, with Josh Addo-Carr tipped to strike early against one of his favourite opponents.

The Tigers enter this contest on a six-game losing streak and have shown few signs that a turnaround is coming. Their last four defeats have all been by 13 points or more, including heavy losses to the Warriors, Bulldogs and Raiders.

Their attack has completely fallen away during that run. Wests Tigers have failed to score more than 10 points in each of their last five matches, averaging just 6.4 points while conceding 31.2 across that period.

That makes Parramatta -8.5 the preferred line selection, with Parramatta 13+ also worth backing in the winning-margin market. The Tigers have conceded an average of 36 points across their last four games, with opponents repeatedly finding space through a defensive line ranked last for points and linebreaks conceded.

Joash Papalii is the value Anytime Tryscorer selection. Papalii has crossed three times in his last five appearances and could earn opportunities against a Tigers defence that has conceded 148 points across the past four rounds.

Josh Addo-Carr First Tryscorer is the final selection. The Parramatta winger has scored six tries in his last seven matches against the Tigers as he looks to break an 8-game tryless streak.

  • Wests Tigers have lost six consecutive matches.
  • Their last four defeats have all come by a 13+ margin.
  • The Tigers have scored 10 points or fewer in five straight games.
  • Josh Addo-Carr has scored six tries in his last seven games against Wests Tigers.

Head to Head

Wests Tigers have won three of their last five meetings with Parramatta, including a 22-20 golden-point victory earlier this season.

The Eels won 38-22 at CommBank Stadium last season and produced a dominant 60-26 victory in 2024.

Wests Tigers Form Analysis

Wests Tigers have lost six consecutive games and are coming off a humiliating 56-10 defeat against Canberra.

The Raiders scored five first-half tries and finished with 10 linebreaks while running for more than 600 additional metres. It was the third time this season that the Tigers had conceded at least 50 points.

The Tigers have now lost their last three games by a combined score of 120-16. They were held scoreless by Canterbury, managed only six points against the Warriors and struggled to create anything consistently against Canberra.

The Tigers rank 14th for points and run metres, 15th for linebreaks and last for points conceded.

Parramatta Eels Form Analysis

Parramatta have lost three of their last four matches, but their effort against Penrith last week was considerably better than their recent results suggest.

The Eels led 12-0 and forced the Panthers to fight their way back into the contest before eventually losing 24-18. Mitchell Moses controlled the opening stages well, while Jack Williams scored twice against the ladder leaders.

The return of Junior Paulo from a knee injury strengthens the interchange and should help Parramatta establish control through the middle. Moses, Ronald Volkman and Isaiah Iongi then have the opportunity to attack a Tigers defensive line conceding an average of 30 points per game this season.
