There won't be another miracle in Mudgee as the Panthers step up and lay the smackdown on a Raiders side who's season should effectively be over with one more defeat.
I'm not going to be drawn into the 'Miracle in Mudgee: Volume 2' narrative here. There's a reason Canberra's season is on life support despite four straight wins and that's because they are simply not that good of a footy side. They've got some outstanding individual talents and are great to watch when it all clicks, but last season was somewhat of a fluke and this year we've seen their true level - a 10-14-ranked team.
Two of their four wins on this current streak were against the last-placed Dragons and embattled Tigers. Canberra still conceded two tries and another was overturned in the first half against a disjointed Tigers' attack who only had 20 play-the-balls in the opposition 20m zone. I'm not convinced with the Raiders' defence at all and Penrith will be ruthless if offered the same chances. Hudson Young and Noah Martin are also big outs in Canberra's forward pack.
The Panthers have been nowhere near their best lately, but they do need a spark ahead of the finals and this game could be it. They will be determined to avenge last season's defeat in golden point and keen to lay down a marker in the run home to the finals.
I'm taking the Panthers to cover the -8.5 line and score 28+ points in a convincing victory. Casey McLean loves playing the Green Machine and can exploit the weak Raiders' edge defence, while Owen Pattie represents a value anytime tryscorer for Canberra with a prolific record this season at hooker.

You've always got to expect some dips in Penrith when they are virtually assured of finishing in the top four and have been for quite some time.
It's impossible to play at peak level all season long and timing is everything, so we can expect to see the Panthers with some much-improved performances over the coming weeks.
After losing three of their last four games, the Panthers steadied the ship with a 24-18 victory over the Eels last week.
Penrith recovered from a 12-0 deficit after 14 minutes, responding with four unanswered tries to maintain an outright lead of the competition.
Canberra Raiders Form Analysis
It was a shocking start to the season from Canberra after their minor premiership triumph last year.
The Green Machine lost four of their opening five games and also lost five of six outings between Rounds 10-16.
Ricky Stuart's side have put together a four-game winning streak heading into this contest, but it's almost certainly all too late.
The Raiders came up against a Tigers side that would have lost to most pub teams last week, crushing their hapless opponents 56-10 as Daine Laurie scored a 16-minute hat-trick in the second half.
