This is one of those weird Origin rounds where half the teams are missing stars, nobody fully trusts what they’re watching, and the betting card suddenly gets very ugly very quickly.

So instead of trying to force a heap of plays, I've kept things pretty simple this week. A few value margins, a stack of tryscorers, and a couple of proper Hail Mary swings.

Hampo and I are taking different sides here.

I am backing Canberra at home in the cold against a Dolphins side missing key players, while Hampo thinks the Dolphins can still grind out a tight win despite the Origin outs.

Bulldogs vs Storm

Nobody is really excited about this game. I feel yuck even having to bet on this game.

With the Storm missing key spine players and the Bulldogs still struggling to fully convince anyone, this became more of a survival exercise than a confident betting preview.

The under feels like the safer play here simply because points could be very hard to come by.

This one I went a bit out of my comfort zone. I don't normally like to bet first tryscorers but this number looked good for a double chance on two guys that like to crash the line.

Cowboys vs Rabbitohs

Nice to get to the end of the round and have State of Origin as the next game up.

I was genuinely shocked when i saw this number for Tommy Chester to get across the line.
