The New Zealand Warriors are poised to end a long-standing dry spell against the Gold Coast Titans in New Zealand, having not triumphed over them at home since 2013. With a solid start to the season, the Warriors are looking strong as they aim for another win. Their recent emphatic victory over Melbourne has boosted confidence. Despite the Titans' recent big win against an injury-hit Eels, the Warriors remain favored, especially with key players like Kurt Capewell tipped for significant contributions.

New Zealand Warriors vs Gold Coast Titans NRL Round 7 Tips & Prediction

The Warriors are tipped to secure their first win over the Titans in New Zealand since 2013 when the two sides lock horns at Go Media Stadium to kick off Super Saturday.

How on earth has it been 13 years since the Warriors have toppled Gold Coast at home? Well, it doesn't matter, because the Wahs have rarely been in better form over the last decade or so and they are primed for another big win in front of their home fans as they look further consolidate their spot inside the top four.

It was a disappointing last home performance as the Warriors went down to the Tigers, but they more than made up for it on the road last week, snapping a 17-match losing run against Melbourne to run out emphatic 38-14 victors.

The Titans also registered a big 52-10 win, but it was over the injury-ravaged Eels. Their only other win this season was against the shambolic Dragons. Going to need to see more from Gold Coast against simply decent sides before I can confidently back them.

Taking the Wahs at a -10.5 line and to score Over 30.5 team points - all four of their wins this season have comfortably covered both. Looking for some value on the Anytime Tryscorers - I don't mind Phil Sami on the wing for Gold Coast, while a returning Kurt Capewell is my pick for the 1st, 2nd or 3rd - he's back in the starting second-row spot and scored in his only previous game this season.
  • Warriors have won four of their six games this season
  • Warriors have covered a -10.5 line and scored 38+ points in all four wins
  • Titans have lost four of their six games this season
  • Titans have lost three of those games by 14+ points
  • Titans have leaked 30+ points in two of those four defeats
  • Titans haven't won back-to-back away games since 2023
  • Phil Sami has scored three tries in his last three games
  • Kurt Capewell scored a try in his only previous game of 2026 and replaces Marata Niukore, who scored a try from the second row last game

Warriors vs Titans Head To Head

The Titans have won six of their last eight games against the Warriors and haven't lost in NZ since 2013.

New Zealand Warriors Form Analysis

Overall, it's been a fantastic start to the season for the Warriors - they are proving they have a very high ceiling, so when they get it right and find some slightly improved consistency, they are well and truly a premiership force.

Tanah Boyd has been a revelation at halfback, more than holding his own in the continued absence of Luke Metcalf, while the experienced James Fisher-Harris and young bookends Leka Halasima and Demitric Vaimauga highlight a fearsome pack. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck are also enjoying resurgent seasons out wide.

Jackson Ford is also on fire, turning into a tryscoring machine at prop with three for the year as he leads the Dally M standings after six rounds.

The Warriors opened the season with three straight wins over the Roosters, Raiders and Knights, but suffered a lapse with heavy defeats to the Tigers and Sharks.

However, Andrew Webster's side got back on track with a thunderous statement performance last week against the Storm, piling the misery on Melbourne with a commanding 38-14 triumph. The Wahs completed 88 per cent of their sets, with DWZ scoring another double.

New Zealand Warriors Team News

Just the one change from last week's victorious side, with Kurt Capewell returning to the starting side in place of Marata Niukore.

Gold Coast Titans Form Analysis

It was a shocking start to the season for the Titans, but with the aid of a kind draw, they've won two of their last three games to give themselves a boost heading into Round 7.

Three straight defeats to open the year are firmly in the rear view mirror, with the Titans managing to get on the board with a 22-14 victory over the rock bottom Dragons.

Gold Coast were outclassed by big brothers Brisbane 26-12 in their next game, but bounced back with a massive 52-10 triumph over the Eels last week.

Jayden Campbell is the main man for this Titans side and the halfback delivered an electrifying performance to take his season try tally to four from as many games. Arama Hau is also impressing with some big charges on the right edge and has three tries from his last three appearances.
