Gosford Favourite - Race 2 No. 12 Spice Baby
This honest filly has finished in the money via all seven career starts, recording two wins and five minor placings.
Her campaign opened with a narrow defeat at Randwick on April 25, where she was third behind Cantiamo and Ernaux.
Those two fitter gallopers were both dropping out of Group 3 company, which reads as a strong form reference coming back in grade to a Midway assignment.
Spice Baby should have no issue putting herself on the speed again from barrier five.
Her last victory came over this track-and-trip in December before she rounded out her summer prep with a runner-up finish in a Randwick Midway on January 3.
Triple M Thunder Thousand BM78 Handicap Tips (Race 4)
Gosford Value Bet - Race 4 No. 1 World Alliance
World Alliance looked a genuine knockout chance at Listed level last Saturday, although he failed to make the field.
Instead, the six-year-old resumes in this BM78 assignment, which shapes as a much weaker contest.
While he carries a bigger impost here, the gelding still receives handy relief after the 3kg claim from Sian Grima.
He can produce a strong finish when conditions suit and early in a campaign has often been the time to catch him, with three wins and a third from four first-up appearances.
The favourite Compensation may prove vulnerable deep into a first campaign and stepping up to 1200m for the first time, while the talented Island Dec also profiles as a value contender.

Gosford Best Bet - Race 7 No. 9 Kerguelen
A Godolphin galloper who remains lightly raced for a rising six-year-old, Kerguelen has been a very genuine performer throughout his career.
The consistent son of Lonhro rounded out his spring with a Randwick victory before resuming with an eye-catching Rosehill win on February 21.
Kerguelen has since been unsuited by track patterns in his next two appearances despite holding market support on both occasions.
The latest came at Randwick after five weeks between runs, where he settled back in the field on an on-speed dominated card before recording the fastest final 200m of the Group 3.
From a low draw here, Kerguelen is more than capable of settling closer to the speed, which brings him right into contention for the Takeover Target Stakes.
Steinbok The Coast 3&4yo Quality Tips (Race 8)
Gosford Feature Bet - Race 8 No. 1 Zambardo
With loftier targets ahead, Zambardo was not there to do much more when resuming on April 18.
The four-year-old was snagged back early from a wide draw and completely unsuited by the track pattern, leaving him with no real chance to feature.
Despite that, his late work over 1400m was sound, especially considering the trip was short of his best.
Getting to a mile second-up presents a much more suitable setup in this $500,000 feature.
Zambardo’s spring form was excellent, with the winning run only ending when sharply up in grade for the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes, where he finished second to Via Sistina and beat home subsequent Group 1 winner Tom Kitten.
Railway Hotel Gosford BM78 Handicap Tips (Race 10)
Gosford Roughie - Race 10 No. 7 Winston Hills
He has had his share of problems throughout his career, although Winston Hills has generally been a consistent performer.
It is worth putting a line through his Canterbury resumption on April 22, where he covered ground throughout before tiring late and still finished within three lengths of the winner.
Second-up last campaign, the gelding placed over this distance in a strong BM78 won by Well Timed.
That galloper subsequently measured up in stronger company, including a Listed runner-up finish.
Winston Hills is versatile and, with the main speed influences drawn to his outside, there may be an opportunity to push forward early, although he is equally effective when ridden quietly.
