The son of Pierro has delivered top-four finishes in all four appearances since finishing sixth at Kembla Grange on debut in September.
Two of those efforts have seen him race from the front this prep, including resuming with a fourth-place finish over this track-and-trip just under a month ago.
The three-year-old was beaten just over three-and-a-half lengths on that occasion before stepping up to 1650m for a Doomben maiden subsequently.
The youngster faded late when third, beaten just over half-a-length, and the softer going expected here shouldn’t be an issue, having placed on a wet surface at Hawkesbury in October.
Michael Freedman’s representative has barrier four and looks capable of breaking through for his first win with Jag Guthmann-Chester booked to ride.
XXXX Gold Class 1 Handicap Tips (Race 6)
Eagle Farm Roughie - Race 6 No. 6 Chantilly
The three-year-old made one start last prep, delivering a fifth-place finish over 1000m on debut just under a year ago.
She raced on a wet surface that day and was well supported for her return at Doomben last month.
The daughter of I Am Invincible broke through for her first win over this distance on a Soft 5 surface.
Racing in fourth for much of the event, the step up to 1200m appeared to suit on her first run for Tony Gollan.
That race has produced multiple winners, and despite failing at Benchmark 68 level on a Good 4 next start, that effort is worth forgiving.
Drinkwise Class 1 Handicap Tips (Race 9)
Eagle Farm Value Bet - Race 9 No. 3 Highgrove Rose
Jack Bruce’s representative broke through for her first win on the pace at Sunshine Coast in December over 1600m.
She then stepped up to 1800m and ran well when fourth in the Group 3 Grand Prix Stakes at this venue.
The daughter of King’s Legacy was beaten just over two-and-a-half lengths in that effort before being spelled.
She returned on a Heavy surface over 1200m at Sunshine Coast two months ago.
Expected to improve from that run, Highgrove Rose has trialled at Doomben, and with Ryan Maloney aboard again, she can overcome the wide barrier.
