He was then disqualified when again fancied in a Benchmark 78 but quickly bounced back from that setback with a solid Doomben second in August before returning to the winner’s list here soon after, scoring comfortably in a Class 4 event.

That effort underlined his consistency and genuine sprinting ability, with all his best runs coming on good ground. He was beaten at odds-on on a Soft 5 last start, but the return to firmer footing is a key positive.

Drawn well and proven at this venue, he looks hard to oppose and can regain winning form.

Eagle Farm Next Best Bet - Race 6 No. 8 Lady Lucifer

The ever-consistent Lady Lucifer has placed in all four runs this campaign, showing genuine improvement with each start. She resumed with a strong second at Doomben before a solid Ipswich third, both over 1350m, and then went on to record consecutive wins.

Her Doomben victory came by more than two lengths when working forward from a wide draw in Class 3 grade, and she repeated the dose next start, winning again by a comfortable margin at the Gold Coast.

Trained by David Vandyke, the daughter of Hellbent has thrived under Emily Lang, who retains the ride. Barrier five gives her the chance to stalk the speed, and she looks well placed to continue her winning streak.

With confidence high and her form profile trending upward, she’s capable of completing the hat-trick.

Tattersalls Members Cup (Listed) Tips (Race 10)

Eagle Farm Value Bet - Race 10 No. 3 Exotique Miss

Exotique Miss proved herself at a higher level last prep, finishing fourth in both the Group 3 Magic Millions National Classic (1600m) and the Group 1 Tattersall’s Tiara (1400m), both here at Eagle Farm.

The Under The Louvre mare resumed with a midfield effort in the Listed Weetwood at Toowoomba after a quiet trial at Dalby. She was ridden more conservatively than usual there and should take significant improvement from the outing.

Her form last season confirmed her affinity for this circuit, where she’s a four-time winner, and she’s shown versatility in both tempo and pattern when right. Any give in the ground would suit, but she handles good conditions equally well.

With Rory Hutchings taking the ride and a fitness edge second-up, she appeals as the value runner in the feature.
